The staff were very friendly and entertaining. The dumpling party was a great ïce-breaker" for guests to participate in and the staff were great hosts. The atmosphere in the bar/lobby was great; always something going on and someone to talk to. The food was really good as well. The location was close enough to a metro station so that it was easy to get around the city. We booked the tour to the Terra-Cotta Warriors through the hostel, which was good value for the money.

Lively and friendly with very helpful staff. The roof garden an oasis of artistic design for pleasure. Food fresh and yummy. A great experience altogether. And these are the comments from a couple in their seventies from the United Kingdom

As a couple we had a private ensuite room which was very spacious and could pass as a hotel room. There was plenty of space for guests to hang out in, inside there was the bar area, pool table area, and cinema are. Outside there was a roof top terrace which is probably one of the best we've seen as it wasnt just access to the roof top like most places. Staff spoke pretty good English and were real friendly and approachable. Great activities to get guests to mingle and meet fellow travellers.

We enjoyed the garden room for three nights which afforded us the luxury of spilling out on to the terrace at our leisure. The atmosphere, food and accommodating manager made our stay an absolute pleasure. We were a middle-age family but felt completely at ease at this hostel. Had the garden room had an ensuite facility then this would have been the 'perfect hostel!' Many thanks

Really nice hostel - we were only there for one night but wish it was longer! Very clean, nice rooms, good restaurant and bar, friendly helpful staff. The tour was well run and the woman who ran the tour was really nice and bent over backwards to help us out.

Open the door and trust the "Welcome Home" sign on the wall - browse the bulletins posting excursions, order extraordinary comfort food, Western style and yummy - then enjoying sipping FREE hot and cold water , listening to the chirping birds while basking on the balcony -rooftop garden which is by the way, designed with a putting green, lush landscaping, oh-so-stunning! My second stay at this wonderful and welcoming hostel - first stay in 2011 booked by a friend, so this is my first review.

I have been to Xi'an many times, but this is my first hostel stay there. I loved their top roof garden, and their fantastic location, only like 10 minutes walk to some major sightseeing places. Definitely recommend it.

The hostel offers comfortable stay with free transportation, maps, water and etc. However, the food at the restaurant on the site is rather disappointing while their fellow hostel offers great food at their cafe & bar which is 2 minutes away by foot.

A brilliant stay, and a lovely, clean and well situated hostel. The only downside was the security. The doors were left open pretty much all day without checks on who was coming in or out. My camera went missing from the back of my chair whilst I was on the computers. Luckily, it turns out it was one of the guests who was checking out in a hurry and accidentally picked it up (off a chair...), and the response from the hostel at the news that a camera was missing was amazing!

Very nice atmosphere in this hostel. Nice ground bar and great roof top bar with ping pong and mini golf. Great tour to Terracotta warriors recommended by them. Lady Jia Jia was a great tour guide. The bar and breakfast prices were a bit expensive for our budget.

It is definetely a good address in Xian, good alternative to hôtel. They propose excursions to Terracota Warriors (with guide, but expect to join a big group) and other places around (only transportation). I would definitively say that cleanilness has to be improved (for example it has not been cleaned for weeks under the beds) and if you get the nice triple room near the roof terrace expect to wait for a while to go to the bathroom or take a shower in the morning as it is also used by staff.

Wow! Best place to stay in Xi'an. The staff is friendly, you can book tours at the front desk and the facility is very safe. It was also much cleaner than the hotels (that we paid 5 times the price for) that we had stayed in earlier in our trip.
