very nice hostel in downtown area of Xi'an. about 10 minutes walk to subway at Bell tower (zhong lou) station. near to shuttle bus to airport too. Have took a tour to terracotta warrior and musoleum of Qin Shi Huang emperor. the musoleum actually only a hill surrounding by trees. our tour guide said it will took around 25 years to discover what are inside the tomb. recommended hostel.

I really like this hostel. Cozy, clean! wow. never ever saw like this in China! But there was one thing I didn't like. The lady staff in the reception didn't care what I booked. I booked female dorm (this is the main reason I decide to stay in this hostel), but got the mixed dorm, yeah it was OK to stay with guys though. Most of staff were really friendly and helpful but didn't like to talk in reception;; unfriendly with no smile.

Great place with very friendly, helpful staff. Only thing I would add is a kitchen for guests to use.

Wifi is working very badly, if at all. It usually works downstairs in the lobby though, which is also a nice place to get to know people, even locals.

Slow check-in - untrained staff? Language a bit of a barrier. Need at least one fluent English speaker! Rooms rather gloomy and very crowded with furniture, nowhere to unpack. Nice atmosphere in lounge and bar area.

Very quaint and warm atmosphere-lobby is a great place to meet people! Dorm rooms are cozy (small and warm) but clean. Staff could be a little warmer/more welcoming and locks could be provided for lockers but otherwise no complaints. A great place to stay!

This was one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed! The staff was wonderfully helpful and offered great tips and suggestions though their English was a little hard to understand. Overall, I have no complaints about this place. My brother and I enjoyed our stay immensely! THANK YOU!!!

Clean, comfortable beds. Inviting social lounge and rooftop area. Although the free activities were supposed to occur every night they didnt happen when we were there. The airport pickup wasnt free as others said it was but a staff member did meet us at the train and took us by bus to the hostel. very helpful! Food is fine but pricey. Easy to meet people. In winter, rooms were warm enough but common area was chilly. Preferred sister hostel, han tang guesthouse except for smokey lounge area.

Our flight was delayed by three hours and the staff was fantastic about making sure a car was there to pick us up. They even helped us book tours for the next day even though we arrived at 3am.

the hostel is great, but the private rooms are a bit pricey for what you get. could stay in a fairly good hotel for the same price!

Place was nice. Shower flooded a bit which meant the bathroom got quite wet each time. People mentioned hot water running out but for me this wasn't an issue. Staff tried to charge me 60Y for stay despite price on website cheaper. When I argued however, they charged me the lower fee. Beers are cheap, food is good, staff are nice. DVDs are available, but most scratched to hell and wont play...

Lovely hostel! Only there for a couple of nights but the staff were very friendly/helpful and the hostel food was really nice! Also a plus, if you're staying in winter, they have proper heaters (at least they did in our room!) so it's nice and toasty. Would definitely go back if in Xi'an again!

Love this hostel! This was my second stay here and I loved it both times. Comfortable, great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful. Great Value. My only complaint this stay is that we had booked our 3 person room more than a month early, but when we arrived we were asked to stay in 2 rooms and switch our 2nd day because someone else had asked to stay an extra day last minute...It was rather inconvenient and since we had booked ahead, it should have been the other person to switch rooms not us...

This is a nice hostel closto the drum tower and 10 min walk from city walls. All of the hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. Cafe is nice n reasonably priced and the vegetarian breakfast was good, 25 rmb I think, for loads of scrambled egg, tomato, toast and museli. I didn't really like the birds kept in cages on the roof terrace, it seemed a bit cruel, but this seems to be pretty commonplace in china. Also I would sggest somemore neutral music in th cafe, other than loud chinese pop.

Thanks for your feedback. Great to know you like food here. Chinese people keep birds in cage, but treat them like friends. We feed them every morning and they bring us a lot of fun. I believe they love us as much as we love them. By the way,u are extraordinary person who lived life with great passion, love and caring heart. Wish you good day!

I had a private room with a great bathroom/shower. Beds were very comfortable (could have slept all day). The lounge is great as well. The food? Terrific! Better pizza there than at the pricey Italian place we went to. Very good omlettes too. Hang Tang is a great place to stay!

Good to have a private bathroom but the sink leaked. Room was very spacious. Great trips. Staff were really friendly, helpful and understanding when we didn't want to go on a trip in the snow! Free dumpling making class and we got to eat them!
