Lovely hostel! Only there for a couple of nights but the staff were very friendly/helpful and the hostel food was really nice! Also a plus, if you're staying in winter, they have proper heaters (at least they did in our room!) so it's nice and toasty. Would definitely go back if in Xi'an again!

Love this hostel! This was my second stay here and I loved it both times. Comfortable, great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful. Great Value. My only complaint this stay is that we had booked our 3 person room more than a month early, but when we arrived we were asked to stay in 2 rooms and switch our 2nd day because someone else had asked to stay an extra day last minute...It was rather inconvenient and since we had booked ahead, it should have been the other person to switch rooms not us...

This is a nice hostel closto the drum tower and 10 min walk from city walls. All of the hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. Cafe is nice n reasonably priced and the vegetarian breakfast was good, 25 rmb I think, for loads of scrambled egg, tomato, toast and museli. I didn't really like the birds kept in cages on the roof terrace, it seemed a bit cruel, but this seems to be pretty commonplace in china. Also I would sggest somemore neutral music in th cafe, other than loud chinese pop.

Good to have a private bathroom but the sink leaked. Room was very spacious. Great trips. Staff were really friendly, helpful and understanding when we didn't want to go on a trip in the snow! Free dumpling making class and we got to eat them!

I had a private room with a great bathroom/shower. Beds were very comfortable (could have slept all day). The lounge is great as well. The food? Terrific! Better pizza there than at the pricey Italian place we went to. Very good omlettes too. Hang Tang is a great place to stay!

Incredible place. Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful, the rooms were hotel-like, and the restaurant served delicious food at cheap prices. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed with.

Hostel is in a good location near the stop for the Airport shuttle and close to a bus stop. Staff is great and atmosphere is good for meeting other travelers (especially if you take their terra cotta warriors tour, which is highly recommended)

i had a good stay at this hostel (1 of 3 owned by the same company). The staff was nice and helpful. but i gotta say, the minute i got in and was going through reg. they were already trying to sell me on tours. 30yuan for a load of laundry (i pay 10yuan back home and shanghai charges 10 also). its seems that although the price per night was good, they look to get more out of you for add ons. not sure if that's the spirit of hostels.. you be the judge

Clean, fantastic service, good food, and a place that really feels like home. There's chess, a guitar, and an amazing rooftop, also. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at- didn't want to leave.

I liked the hostel very much. The only thing is the locations. Although it is in a central area and close to the subway, the street of the hostel is not the most suitable for a hostel in my opinion. But I would definiately com back. Staff was great helping me!

Best hostel I've ever stayed in, in China. Heated faucet in the sink, central heat, great location. Aside from staff mixing my reservation slightly, it was a fabulous stay. The value for money was great as well.

Great hostel. Lots of access to tours, good breakfast, comfy beds, good location, really clean. I stayed in the six person ensuite dorm. My one complaint was that the shower curtain was way to high up and there was nothing to keep the bathroom from turning into a lake after someone showered. It's still the best hostel I've stayed at in China. And if you walk down to the end of the road, there are a lot of vendors selling cheap but good breakfast food. :)
