Amy was a great host. She made us feel very welcome. The photos are accurate. We stayed in the annex which was actually more conveniently located. The area is well located just off two major roads, but in a backstreet which makes it quiet at night.

The staff was very friendly and spoke English really well. Our room was big and nice, bathroom / showers as well. There was a cozy living room with a microwave, a fridge and a toaster. The only thing really unpractical was that there were no dishes and cutlery, only cups!! The surroundings are probably quiet, but we had a building site next to us unfortunately, which was really loud... But the location is good, directly by the Kiyomizudera, which is very nice to visit by night!!

Don't expect too much..Its just a place to sleep.

Really a good place to stay ! Owner is helpful and really friendly. Once you understand how to use the air conditioner even the low temperature of Kyoto won't matter ! If I go again at Kyoto I will go there !

We got such a friendly welcome when we arrived , and the fantastic hostess really made us fel at home all the time. We even got strawberries the last day as a treat. The location could not be better! just go around the corner and you have everything and its calm area anyway to stay. I most recommend this hostel for your stay in Kyoto

Emi was the most amazing host, providing maps on check in and extra touches like fresh strawberries (which were somemof the best I have ever tasted.) The location is great.
