The hostel was in a great location, on a very traditional chinese style pedestrian street with many great places to eat and visit in the immediate area. Also not a far walk from the West Lake. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hostel.

An excellent hostel in Hangzhou that is located in a safe and beautiful tourist pedestrian street. Walking distance to tourist attractions, such as Hefang pedestrian street and Wushan square. Quite a distance from the West Lake, but if the weather is good, the 30-minute walk to the West Lake is refreshing. However, the female staff at the reception is not helpful to our problems - should be more proactive and initiated to help the guests, rather than saying 'no' and leaving us in the lurch.

Very good hostel! I like the location, the staff were very helpful, and even the private rooms were a great value. There was a leak under our floor right by the bathroom, but otherwise the facilities were great. Recommending it to friends!

Staff initially friendly, helpful but went bonkers when I lost receipt for room deposit and 900 RMB paid to front desk for train tickets. Became quite rude and raised voice admonishing me, the guest. Cafe attached is also quite expensive: $5 for a cup of American coffee for example. This for a backpacker hostel. They should be ashamed for attempting to take advantage. Turning left out the door and two blocks is restaurant row for much cheaper prices.

Very clean and very friendly staff, especially Lizzie, she was very helpful. They helped me get to the hostel from the station and find all the places I wanted to visit in the area. The hostel also has very cute cats :-)

Very lovely setup off the pedestrian- only street, with outdoor courtyard and cosy lounge, about 15 mins walk to the lake. Bathrooms stank slightly but all in all, a good choice

Well-located and well looked-after hostel. The room (a twin) was tiny. The bathroom was also small, but clean and functioning. The coffee shop attached to the hostel was expensive (30RMB for an orange juice) but it did have nice big sofas. The staff were uninterested in guests, both Chinese + laowai. Also, everyone had to buy - a stupid rule since the place was never busy.On the other hand, the staff in the hostel itself were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there.Stay away from coffee the shop.

It is a nice hostel. Chinese style setting and clean bedrooms. It is located inside a famous place of interest and cars cannot enter that area. So you have to find your own way to the hostel by foot once you get to the Hefang Street. It can be a little difficult.

I stayed in a dorm female room, and had a nice time to chat chit and make friends with other travelers. Location is right in the ancient walking street, so easy to find the food and shopping. The hostel is super clean, many cleaners work for it and the staff is very helpful. I had a pleasant time here. Highly recommended.

vy nice and helpful staff, always carrying a smile. the location is great. you can walk to the west lake or take public transport easily. you can get food and drinks even very late at night. but, it is not noisy though it's located in a crowed place. the room is also cool, but the common room is too small

We stayed in a private 'loft' room which we thought was really cool... although it's not a loft room but more like maisonette style as it was ground floor. The staff were very friendly, spoke great English, and were always helpful. However, the cafe/bar is a bit over-priced in my opinion. Food is OK but drinks are too much... especially when you order a 'pot of tea' from the menu and are given 2 cups, as they tried to charge for 2 pots... which came to near RMB80. Great stay overall though!
