A very ancient-looking hostel locates right next to a hot shopping spot. Convenient. Quiet at night, but during the 4 days I stayed in Room 103, there were people yelling and talking loudly right outside the window, waking me and everybody up every single day. Also, there are only two bathrooms for showers and both of them smell. Stink pretty bad every day. Other than that, everything's fine. Staff was nice and helpful. I will miss the three cats there.

Very nice hostel. Good western food for reasonable prices. Nice location in the pedestrian area. Lots of of good street food right outside of the gates. Very chill and relaxing upstairs tv area in the adjoining cafe Shine. Wifi worked well in the rooms. Would stay here again if I came back.

I liked the fact that the hostel was in a place that had nice restaurants and shops and was near the dock at Westlake. I enjoyed strolling around at night to look for souvenirs in a festive atmosphere. The accommodations were basic but adequate considering the price. The staff was friendly and very helpful in giving directions to places we wanted to visit.

Extremely helpful staff, always smiling and willing to help. Very cosy and comfortable hostel with a good atmosphere. The deluxe double bed room I stayed in was one of the best rooms I've stayed at in a hostel. Keep up the great work! :)

Extremely helpful staff with a high level of English. Our bedroom was really nice -- we had one of the loft ones. Room was cool in spite of it being hot outside. We ate breakfast in the restaurant, which was average for the price we paid. The location was excellent -- right in the middle of the pedestrianised area, with good access to the West Lake. On the whole, I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff is English speaking and helpful. the culture in the hostel is relaxed as it has good mix of all kind of people coming for sight seeing. West lake is not very far. the market around the hostel is a good pastime. A lot of chinese traditional artifacts are available. do not be surprised to see the things not so cheap as you would expect. it is a prime area so things are rather a little expensive. It is a fantastic place to unwind as the atmosphere around is very relaxed and tourist like.

I loved the hostel when I stayed there the first time so I stayed there a second time. Staff was very kind and helpful. They helped me and were very patient in telling me how to come there by bus when I got lost. They recommended many interesting things to see and do in Hangzhou. They also have adorable Siamese cats and kitten :)

I stayed in two hostel during my stay in Hangzhou and this one was the better one! It really had a good feeling to it, friendly and most importantly it was clean! Though in the morning it got very noisy, this could be the biggest downside. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there, would have stayed for a second night if they werent booked.

Great location just off the pedestrian street. Hostel staff were really helpful (gave us map and guidance to make the most of our time in Hangzhou) and spoke good English; allowed us to store luggage after we had checked-out. Security was good (locker per bed). Showers were probably the best we had in China! Hostel has a cool restaurant and bar attached (didn't have food there but chilled out upstairs where there is a large reading room and DVD collection). Stayed in 6 bed dorm. Recommended.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The hostel location is great! The common space could be bigger cause it's not so easy to socialize.

This was my second stay at this hostel and it was just as good as the first time. It's in a great location about 15 minutes walk from the lake in a quiet pedestrian area, and near a fabulous food street for dinner. This is a great cheap option as the hostel stops serving food quite early. Staff are helpful and friendly. The family room was a good size and comfortable. Wifi is good in the bar and at reception. Towels provided are small so you may prefer to bring your own.
