Great location, but rooms were grubby. We were given one that overlooked a trash heap, the next one we moved to had mouldy walls and required a mosquito net (because the windows didn\'t close properly). While the cleaning staff was very kind, the people working behind the desk were quite rude and seemed to sigh or roll their eyes when they had to do things that any guest would require: ie. check in, etc. There were also various signs saying laundry powder was free, but the desk charged us for it...MoreGreat location, but rooms were grubby. One of the 6 person dorms had pretty moulded ceilings and I would bet there were bed bugs. I and another guy staying in the dorm got pretty sick afterwards. This hostel has a lot going for it in terms of it's location which is pretty unbeatable being on the West Lake and only 15 min from the train station. However, their front desk staff is some of the most irritating and difficult to deal with of any hostel I've stayed at. The communal bathrooms are also a bit rough.
