We had a great stay on the Hannus. It's in a perfect location (only 10 min from the historic downtown) and on a beautiful harbour close to many restaurants. Excellent breakfasts were included at the start of each day. This is a really unique place to stay and the common area is nice for meeting other guests. Only thing is the rooms do not have locks. We never had any problems with security however we would have felt more at ease if there had been a lock.

The description on the site makes the Ship look much fancier than it is. Cabins are TINY, with no space for luggage at all. WiFi is free, but only accecible on the deck and if you're lucky: it's a free town WiFi. It's rather humid on the ship (which, i guess, is natural), but combined with 15C temperatures on the outside it can be an issue. The boiler broke down at some point and there was no hot water in the shower for more that 12 hours. We fled the ship 3 nights earlier than planned.

The ship is a wonderfful & quirky venue & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay . It's only a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Antwerp so the location is good - including the Beer Cafe only 10 metres away! However, the outside hatch as well as the individual cabin doors couldn't be locked from thed outside,so although the area is very friendly & safe there could be a security issue.

Interesting hostel! Comfortable, if a bit cramped - although that is to be expected on a ship! Great location and pretty unique. Only issue would be lack of lockers/locks on rooms. Nothing taken but didn't seem very secure.
