Atmosphere and facilities were overall great but the dorm bathroom had a persistent sewage smell. We also didn't appreciate how the hostel "rationed" the AC by only turning it on after 7-8 pm so that if you were in the room beforehand you were roasting. Considering how much you're paying to stay here that was a bit ridiculous. Also didn't like how you had to pay an extra 20,000 dong if you wanted an extra small scoop of baked beans, two tiny banana slices or bacon with your breakfast.
great hostel, they have lots of information and the staff is very nice
We stayed in a private room which was really expensive but was nicer than many hotel rooms. The location was an easy walk around Hanoi and near many food stands and fresh beer spots. There were always people in the bar area and always something fun going on. They have great security and are a well run machine. I would recommend their free walking tour as it gave great insight into the city. There is no other hostel quite like it - if in Hanoi you must stay here!
Amazing place to meet people , great staff , great atmosphere. Have recommended to numerous people who all loved their experience too. Didn't feel the pressure to drink or go out - lots of options inside the hostel and around the area if that's not what you feel like doing.
Had a really good stay at this hostel. Excellent bar with great choice of food and drinks. Fantastic atmosphere helped by the large communal areas. Lots of showers and toilets available. Good location. Helpful staff - booked castaway island trip through the hostel and there were plenty more trips to choose from.
Probably one of the best hostels I stayed in, during my time in South East Asia! Fantastic atmosphere, always buzzing, lovely staff, lots of events and activities. Made plenty of friends and would highly recommend doing their Halong Bay castaway tour!!!
Nice staff, breakfast included, clean dorms, showers AC are good, location is excellent - note that it's a party hostel. To be honest it think the music downstairs (in the bar) was way too loud, you couldn't hang out and just socialize without shouting each other in the face. 8 PM feels a bit early for that kind of nightclub-mood!
Amazing hostel. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Something happening every night and the staff do there best to keep the party going. Everyone is super friendly and it's easy to meet others. There's a good common area on the 5th floor with 10 computers, a big screen tv, where can always find someone watching movies and free & secure storage area. Dorms are large, tons of showers and breakfast is either 3 pancakes, 2 eggs & toast or fruit & yogurt. Book early as this place fills up!!!
This place rocks! Staff are awesome, the people that stay are legendary and the atmosphere is quality! Make sure you go on the castaways trip to halong bay! You'll have a sick time. Book in advance to save disappointment. Couldn't over hype this place if I tried! Go go go!!

Loved this place ! Would go back in a nano second. There is tons to do even if you do not want to drink. Food is amazing.
A must place to stay if you're going to Hanoi. Awesome party atmosphere especially during World Cup.
This is very much a party hostel, as previously stated. The tours are expensive and there is pressure to book there, but the Halong Bay tour that I booked elsewhere for much cheaper was fantastic. Free breakfast is good. The 5th floor lounge is nice, but way too hot and stuffy to truly be comfortable.Free walking tour is great.
We booked the private room on the sixth floor and loved it! The room was clean and organized, the bathroom was spacious (with separate toilet & shower), and we had a great view overlooking Hanoi. The hostel is very social and the staff is super friendly and informative. The front desk takes the time to explain Hanoi and what there is to do. However, if you're looking for great value at a decent price, this is not the place. Our private room was super expensive compared to other locations.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Large common area/bar where it's very easy to socialise and meet other travellers. The dorms are clean and comfortable and there's a great chillout area up on level 5 if you want a quiet place to relax. Highly recommend this hostel!
It's a real lively hostel with lots of people coming
Best thing about the hostel was the nights out, reps take you all to the same bars and clubs, a good way to meet people. The castaway tour, which most people book through the hostel is a bit of a rip off and we had just as good a time with Ha Long bay party cruises for half the price!
I found the hostel to be clean, the atmosphere was lively (if you're looking to be around other young Westerners that is), but the staff were quite rude.

Very fun atmosphere, always a party downstairs, but with a chill area on the 5th floor as well. Bathrooms were cleaned constantly. Well run operation, and definitely the place to stay in Hanoi! Recommended to everyone.
Great hostel for meeting other people to explore and enjoy hanoi. Great food, fun parties, clean rooms and bathrooms, lots of storage space. Only minor issue is they turn off a/c in the rooms during the day and it can get hot!
Party hostel. Castaways was really good (but expensive). I'd recommend to anyone who wants to have a good time at night. Bar downstairs shuts at 11ish but still not the place if you want total silence at night for sleeping. Staff really good, especially Phu on castaways! Would definitely stay again.
