This is hands down the funnest hostel I stayed at in Vietnam. The 3 day Castaways tour is a must do! I had the best time with great people. Very social atmosphere. Only down side was a guy in my dorm getting it on all night kept me up, but I guess that's what happens in these types of hostels.
Best hostel I've stayed in so far on my travels in Vietnam. All the staff are lovely and want to help assist you in anyway. HOT showers!! Your own plug, lamp and safety box next to your bed! Castaway tour is a MUST! Pricey through the hostel but I guarantee you it's worth every penny! Breakfast is lovely, and the bar is fairly cheap! Do the free tour around the old quarter in the morning with staff! Great atmosphere, great place to meet travel friends!

We had a ball - this is the kind of Backpackers that you want to head to if you're keen to meet new people and make international friends!
Too loud. Too many people. All is about drinking. Unpolite staff except the western ones. I hated it :)
Amazing hostel. Great atmoshphere and events. Free breakfast options included. Cheap drinks. Trips are overpriced and can be found for the same quality elsewhere. Staff are excellent and always there to help you. Came back and booked more time here after my initial booking.
Staff usless, will rip you off. (Vietnamess staff) DO NOT EAT AT THIS HOSTEL! I got food posining and had to spend 4 days in bed in Hong Kong. Better and more value hostels bear by do not stay here
Stayed for a week and loved every minute there!

Great fun hostel, had a blast especially in the bar. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Very good, but pricey compared to the neighborhood
Superb hostel, lively in the bar/restaurant, chilled in the upstairs common room. Excellent shower facilities. Food isn't cheap, but it is really good and portions re big.
They have two hostels and often put you in a hostel you didn't book. Rooms are fine but no so social as the other hostel. Bathrooms stink...they new cleaned. Ha Long Bay tours are wry good though.
The hostel facilities were excellent. They provide airport pick up for a reasonable fee and the dorms were clean and comfortable with personal lockers, outlets, and reading lights. The bathrooms were clean and cleaned often and free water was provided in jugs on each floor. The lounge upstairs had plenty space to relax and the bar downstairs was fun and had good selection. The staff was generally a bit rude and unhelpful, but we would still stay here again. Also, excusions were way overpriced.
Staff were very helpful and friendly especially in bad situations. Has a good bar and atmosphere-easy to meet people- amazing nachos! The only thing was that the bed clearly hadn't been changed and I had to wait aagggges for them to change it. All in all though a good place thats social :) would stay again fo sho
Great hostel. Really fun and vibey. Lovely people from all over the world. Great bar and night entertainment. Computer access, great wifi and pool table. A/c was bad. Showers weren't the best but hostel in general was really awesome. Included breakfast was and delicious. Quite a noisy, bustling hostel. Not for those seeking some quiet time.
Great hostel, great location, atmosphere and staff. Its the only hostel in vietnam that i saw with travellers working as staff, which makes a huge difference in customer service. Definitely the place to stay in Hanoi
This is THE place to be in Hanoi. I initially booked three nights and ended up staying nine. Great atmosphere and a very sociable place, yet quiet and clean rooms. Overall very clean and well looked after facilites the location is really good and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Definitely the best hostel I have stayed at so far in all of South-East Asia.
Very nice hostel! Was there for two nights, everything was clean and the atmosphere was great - great place if you're by yourself and want to meet people! The staff was very friendly and helpful with planning your trips. I definitely recommend this for backpackers. However, if you're looking for a rather quiet place, you should consider something else ;)
Great place to stay, facilities are up to standard, well organised. Piece of advice: if you are throwing a party (e.g. Christmas party) then do ask your customers whether they are into partying. I was not, but I did get booked into a room on the second floor and could not sleep because of the racket downstairs. Could have been avoided...

This is an amazing hostel. Great social atmosphere in the bar which makes it easy to meet people. Really good rooms. Awesome location. Great parties!
This is the perfect place to meet a whole load of like minded backpackers. Even if you're not staying here I'd highly recommend coming to the bar in the evenings. My only slight negative is the price of the tours they offer - at over $200 the castaway tour just isn't a viable option for backpackers travelling for a long time.
