This is a commercial hostel - they'll put together packages and organize events for you. I felt WAY too old being here (traveling by myself and 28). There is more of a fratty vibe, it's also a few dollars more expensive a night. I probably would have loved this a few years ago. If you're cost conscious and looking for a different experience, you can probably just walk to this site and then choose a dorm/hostel nearby. They won't be fully booked, I promise.
Four kiwi chicks travelling - We enjoyed the hostel generally. The staff went out of their way to help one of us when we lost our very expensive camera (but to no avail) BUT we did the halong bay trip and thought it was massively overpriced. You pay A LOT for watered down alcohol and average to below average food. The guides couldn't tell us anything about the area or the culture it was just a drinking trip and an expensive one at that! Very disorganized and a bit of a scam. Massive travel times
Great hostel in a great area of Hanoi with lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The hostel was always full of people and has a very friendly and party oriented vibe. Rooms were comfortable and reasonably clean although the AC does shut off from mid-morning until early evening. Great place to stay to meet other backpackers or see the city.
That hostel i in my opinion the best choice in hanoi for every backpacker. Luggage can be stored for days for free when you plan to do a trip around. Sevaral little add ons for free like every day pub crawl, walk around old town or free breakfast. Good hostel! Many people and cheap and clean!
Definitely a backpackers hostel! Good scene if you're into that. Loud and full bar at night and decent accommodations and bathroom etc for the money. The breakfast was the best Ive ever had in a hostel. You get to order eggs or pancakes free with the room. Awesome! They also help you book Halong bay trips - they have a special booze cruise one where they take you to a private party island but pretty expensive. Book the regular tours through other agencies around town its cheaper.
Even if you don't stay here it's a backpacker hotspot and a mist visit to meet people and join in on the free pubcrawl!
Great hostel for partying and easy to meet people if you are a single traveller. Free breakfast is nice. Wifi can be very unreliable. Also the door to the stairwell is often left open, enabling anyone to go up and down even if they are not staying in the hostel, which is a bit unnerving.
Great place to stay, very friendly staff and people! Just a little expensive
Very very well run backpackers hostel. Very clean rooms and shower areas. Located right in the heart of the Old Quarter. Excellent security: Bags are tagged when put into luggage storage. They provide all sorts of services, including changing money at a very reasonable rate. However, this place tends to only attract the 18 to 24s and the 18 to 24s at heart. If that is not the sort of crowd you are looking for, go some place else.
BEST hostel with wicked bar staff! We spent 3 nights there before castaway and then went back after they looked after us well. rooms clean a wee bit cramped in a 6 bed but fine, and plenty of showers. downstairs bar area is always busy with good drink deals so never bored, and easy to meet people :) right in the centre of shops etc.
