A good hostel with friendly stafff and a good tour office. Halong Bay trip was a lot of fun. Some of the lockers could be improved.

The prices reported on the website are slightly different from the ones they will actually charge you, specially if you are in a double room, just be mindful of that.

Had a fantastic time here. If you want to meet people and make friends then this is the place to come. They have a roof top bar which is full most nights and cheap. very close to everything you will need. The Rock Long Rock Hard Ha Long Bay tour was good. very lively lots of booze. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast is great.

The hostel was a lot of fun and had a great vibe. It had one serious drawback though -there is no common area in which to meet other people, or even just sit down. The bar is great, when it's open, but during the day it's a serious problem. Otherwise, all great!

This clould be called party hostel of a kind. Staf make it party hostel, othervise it would be dull. Facilities, safety and cleanliness about average.

I had the best time in Hanoi Backpackers.I stayed on Ma May road. They have everything you might ever need there. It's hard to actually leave the hostel and venture out into the city. But when you do you are right in the middle of everything. I was traveling on my own but everyone is really welcoming and friendly. The Haylong Bay trip was amazing(but the sporty bits could have been for a lot longer and more challenging). In the eve movies, BBQ, Music, Pub Cralws. The only bad part was that I left.

Great place to meet people, clean rooms and so on.. only problem we had was with the laundry - took 4 days to clean our shoes meaning we had to leave Hanoi without them. Inconvenient at the time, but we got in contact via email and they mailed the 3 pairs back to australia for us which was much appreciated. Would definitely recommend the Ha Long Bay cruise with them as well, had an amazing time!

This hostel absolutely rocks! Definitely stay here if you are in Hanoi and looking to meet travelers and have some fun. Internet is fast and free, there is free breakfast and the staff are awesome. TOTALLY LOVED the 2 night/3 day Halong Bay excursion, an absolute blast an worth the cost for sure. We headed to the Hanoi Backpackers straight from the airport, and barely escaped a "taxi" that was trying to bring us to the wrong hostel and who knows what they had planned.

The only thing that I really didn't like. Is that you could not sit on the roof during the daytime.

this hostel was one of the best on my trip. you can party hard or chill very comfortably with an eclectic bunch. The only critisim is that the bar closes early and some of the food is slightly expensive. However the surrounding area has lots of bars restaurants and street food

a busy backpackers hostel what make's it a great place to meet other people. it's not as huge as the new version of it at Ma May. it would be a fantastic place of they'll make a place where you relax on a soft chair
