Even that I didn't meet so many people in this hostel because I was with some other friends in a hostel close to it, I could see that was a great place to make new friends and party! The tours I didn't do with them because I felt it a bit overpriced, but around the hostel there are several travel agencies. I did everything with Anna the agency just in front of Hanoi backpackers (old one)

Decent place, very helpful staff, very clean, good location. The free breakfast is prompt well made and a nice touch. Not the best wifi I've found. I can't recommend booking trips through them they are far too expensive- get a motorbike nearby and do the trips yourself.

One of the best if stayed in. Ok the beds are standard backpackers but the atmosphere is really good and it was really easy for me to meet people travelling by myself. The tour guides were brilliant for the castaways tour which was the best money ive spent so far on my trip. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Good vibes all round!

Very fun hostel. Guaranteed to meet loads of travelers from all over the world. The Vietnamese staff aren't that friendly, but the western staff are very friendly. Avoid doing any tours with Hanoi backpackers as they are grossly overpriced.

I cannot say enough good things about this hostel! This is without a doubt one of the best hostel I have ever stayed at anywhere in the world, and the staff is absolutely exceptional in every way. If you need any advice, need a new friend, or need to find a bar that's open after hours, they can help you out with whatever you need! The location is right next to the lake, walking distance to everything, and some of the dorms even have lovely little balconies overlooking the main street. The best!

Hostel is hip and trendy no complaints at all. HOWEVER if you plan on going to halong bay with their exclusive castaway island tour BEWARE for 200$ you will get a sandy bed with no pillow and a blanket that has NEVER been washed. The buffet meals might give you food poison and you will spend the early morning hours listening to Aussies and Brits puking and pissing themselves. The extra activities included on the trip are fun!

Great free breakfast available, great atmosphere and rooftop bar, very easy to meet people. Good location in the Old Quarter and within walking distance of major sites and museums.

This is one of the legendary hostels you'll hear about as you travel around South East Asia! Comfortable, Clean, Affordable and a ton of fun! I'm traveling for 9+ Months and Cast a way and the Sapa trip through hostel were one of the highlights of my whole trip. The staff here is also amazing. Nicest people you'll ever meet and extremely fun!

The only way to party in Ha noi!!! the original or the downtown, both rock the city off! Also they have great support and good recomendations about what to do in the city. Free walking tours, and also pub crawls!

We tried this one and the close central backpackers as well. The comparison between the 2 is easy, the first one is far more better : comfy bed, safe lockers, hot shower, spacious room, choice between 3 breakfast instead of one, good atmosphere on the top roof bar ... the second one does not, but it has free beers one hour a day. I recommend this hotel, perfect value for the money

Some things (food/trips) were more expensive than other places for no explained reason. The staff were incredibly helpful and there was a really great atmosphere. The hostel was incredibly clean and very secure.

This is a great place to stay if you wanna meet people and have fun. The rooms are very secure and the location is perfect. Definitely more of a party place than a quiet hotel. Great value for money and modern set up. The room smelt a bit like someone had had a few too many tequilas but if you want the backpacker party experience stay here!

Highly social backpackers' hostel. Great mix of local and native English speaking staff. Free walking tours offered every day and pub crawls and other social events each night. Rooms are comfy and clean enough with big lockers for all your stuff. Free breakfast is nice too. Can be a little noisy at night with the Latin place next door.
