the staffs are very helpful and they remember my request and will follow up accordingly. this is really a good customer service. the location is really good, i can walk around and visit places. I can find food and mart easily.
Excellent value for money. Very cheap considering the size of the room, the bed, facilities, and the elevator (so many hostels would put you on the top floor with stairs the only option). Staff are very accommodating (got help with the tour and directions in the city). Some facilities need work though, especially the bathroom (the shower over the bathtub is a hazard). On my second night, the tv and airconditioner also required troubleshooting. Other than that, a very good hostel.
A few staff members and the room size were the shining moments of this hostel. They allowed us to keep our bags there when we left for a few days, but I wouldn't say they were particularly secure and we took anything we were too scared to loose with us. The location is decent an easy walk to most attractions, and a few food options around, both rooms we had were fairly huge which was also a nice change. Nothing to great or terrible, just an ok place to lay your head.
Excellent value, decent breakfast included, staff were very friendly and helpful...would recommend
Excellent excellent hostel. I would recommend it to everyone. The staff go above and beyond to help you get to know the city, they also offer brilliant advice on trips to take in and around Hanoi. We had an amazing time. The staff were so friendly and caring and just lovely. I wish we could stay longer. They made you feel at home the minute you arrived. This hostel is more like a hotel with rooms having their own en suite, aircon and tv! Wifi is excellent too. Stay at this hostel!!!!
good place to stay. most of the staff have average English skills one, Kylie, was great in arranging further travel possibilities to/ from airport (15$) and CatBa. the rooms in the back are quiet and very spacious. we would certainly come back.
100 % value for money! Staff is excellent and arragend our trips to our next destination (Cat Ba) for a very good price: 220.000VND via Hoang Long. The area is not too touristic, but you can walk around and have some coffe or food erverywhere.
We ending up Staying four nights instead of one and even though we had to change rooms the staff came through. The rooms are old but still nice and clean. You can book all kinds of tours in the reception and you'll have a good breakfast menu with western or Vietnamese food every morning. We had a very good time at this hostel!
We stayed here on two very cold and rainy nights. Unfortunately there did not seem to be any heating and the hot water ran out.
The only bad thing - the room had no windows( it's good that you cannot hear the street noise, but if you wanna see the sun in the morning, ask for a room with windows). Great staff. Very good overall.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hanoi city hostel, The staff was very helpful at all times specially Hana":) thanks ". Location was perfect, room and breakfast a very good value for money, Internet at a good speed and tours are a a good price, even better than outside.
Definately good value for money. Staff helpful, but very keen to sell tours, although tour prices seemed good value.
This hostel was a great place to stay in Hanoi - clean rooms, good location (central and next to lots of delicious little Vietnamese restaurants) and cheap! The evening staff didn't seem particularly enthusiastic to be there, but the lady who works in the morning/daytime was so friendly and she had lots of recommendations for food, travel and sights, without trying to push expensive tours on us! Not much atmosphere but would stay here again.
Lovely hostel and lovely staff! Everyone very friendly and helpful! Rooms clean and tidy, and WiFi worked well on each level. We booked a tour to Sapa through the hostel, which we got a better deal than on the tourist desks in the town and a non-pressured sale!
Staff were very nice and helpful. Had some issues with water pressure in the shower, but other than that, the stay was wonderful.
Great hostel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was great and the rooms really clean

The staff were so friendly and ready to help us pick the best excursions tailored to our needs- i.e. not a party boat to Ha Long but not a boat full of old people! Free water, breakfast included, safe box in the room, toiletries provided GREAT! Only problem was extending our stay- when we arrived from our excursion in the evening the room still wasn't ready and the shower electrocuted our friend!!! They gave us a new room straight away. Also worth noting the water pressure drops from time to tim
We stayed in a private triple room with A/C and we liked it so much we stayed there again the second time we were in Hanoi. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speak good English, helped us plan our trip in Hanoi, and answered all our questions. The location is great for exploring the old quarter. The wifi and A/C worked great in the room. It felt very secure with 24/7 front desk staff and safety deposit boxes in the rooms. Nice, clean bathrooms with towels, soap, toothbrushes.
Hannah (and the other staff) were incredibly helpful in booking our tours around halong bay and sapa, including painstakingly finding transport for us over the busy public holiday period. We had a fantastic time on both trips, and the prices we paid seemed to be very reasonable compared to what others had paid for the same thing.
