Staff are very very friendly and helpful.Only bother is...........there is building works going on right next door everyday, so dont stay if you want a sleep in!!! Excellent hotel in the middle of old quarter. Nice staff. Booked a trip to Halong Bay with them, and we got a better junk than we paid for. So you don't need to choose one of the most expensive trips. The first place we have been where every guest were offered a laptop for personal use in our rooms :-) Excellent hotel in the middle of old quarter. Nice staff. The service here was excellent, and the breakfast was the best I've had on my travels... Worth the extra for a nice quiet clean room, although there was some early morning drilling in the building next door, but nothing to do with the hotel.
The location is excellent, right in the centre of the Old Quarter, although the hotel would be a little hard to find without a decent map (the road is shown in the Lonely Planet guide, for example), but our taxi driver knew the way.

The staff were lovely, they couldn't do enough for us. The places they recomended to eat were fantastic and they were just so helpful all of the time. We stayed in a lot of places in Veitnam some expensive and some not, but this was truely a bit of a find!The staff were lovely, they couldn't do enough for us. We stayed at Hanoi Gecko Hotel for one night. We booked a short trip to Sapa and to Halong Bay at the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and we enjoyed both trips. Our room at the hotel was clean and tidy. We enjoyed our experience at the hotel and will come back again. The north of Vietnam is very beautiful and we will stay longer next time we visit.

An amazing hotel with even better staff!!!! The staff here do everything you want and much more!! A brilliant location right in the heart of Hanoi city. A bit of a struggle to find it at first to find it but its well worth it. I highly recommend it!! A great place t stay!!!
