Great location in the heart of the old quarter. Lots of street side restaurants nearby, cell phone shop across the road that sells top up cards, and a cute street cafe across the road with amazing Vietnamese coffee and strawberry iced tea! Must try! The staff were incredibly friendly, allowing us to check in at 9am, store our bags there and use their facilities even after we checked out and waited for our 7pm train. They helped with taxis, orientation, and finding restaurants. Thanks guys!!

The A/C in the mixed dorm didn\'t function well all of the nights - I believe they fixed it after it was mentioned at the front desk. The breakfast is awesome and large. Though most hotels/hostels are in this region, I would probably have opted to be somewhere outside of the old quarter. Overall a decent place to stay - the price is definitely the best for the value.

The Hostel is located right in the middle of the old town of Hanoi, walking distance for a lot of restaurants, museums and so on. The staff is very kind and friendly, speaks english fluently and will help you to organize a trip all around Vietnam. A really good place to stay.

Excellent hostel. The only problem was the one guy who worked the front desk always needed help from the manager because he spoke very poor English. The room smelled when we checked in but it just needed to be aired out. They helped us book a fabulous Halong Bay tour and they were in a pretty good location.

I\'m one of the Kong family (3 person). I totally satisfied with your staff\'s kindness and service in such price! It\'s really marvelous and amazing. And I appreciate to meet such good people (your staffs) and having a good memory in my life. Thanks for all of it. I definitely hope to visit this place again.

The strength of this hotel are his location and above everything the staff working in it. They helped us with all our requests and beyond. They let us used all the commodities between two trips and even offered us breakfast. Will definitely recommend for their welcoming!

Owner Comment (Show)
Hi Paul, I am Mike, owner, the man you mentioned as manager in your comment. First of all, we would like to say Thank you for your comment about our hostel and base on this, we will try our best to satisfy all guests. We are very sorry about your inconvenience Halong Bay tour because of the weather. However, before selling the tour, I always check the weather forecast on the website. As you know, weather is weather and it changes so fast. the weather is just predict only, not 100% the same as on weather forecast. I never try to push guest to by tours from us ( you can read another reviews) and never lying to you about weather to push you book the tour especially, I never laughed and said "it was worth a try"! Finally, we appreciate your comment very much and it makes us better and better. Thank you for your understanding and best regards, Mike

I've been staying in hostels for years, and this is perhaps my favorite yet. It's simple but clean and safe with lots of extras! Delicious breakfast, tea and coffee served all day long and a beer happy hour. The staff is super helpful, providing lots of recommendations and even walking across the street with me to buy a SIM card since the shop didn't speak any english. It's not a party spot, but there will be people hanging out at breakfast and beer time. Highly recommended.

It was pleasure to be at this hostel, Candy and others are very friendly and helpfull. Excelent posibility to leave some bags at one room and take them later. Maybe a little bit interesting breakfast would be nice, but what was served was delicious and good. Thanks a lot for the possibility to have a shelter for my friend, who was sick for one day. The very best matresses we have had in 5 month of travelling! We were very satisfied with the stay and the staff were excellent. We - a family of 4 with 2 children - wanted to go to the Halong Bay and got very good advices for the tour and possibilities. Very friendly and helpfull staff The only thing is, that bathrooms do need a brush-up - it is damp and smelly!
