Cute hostel, and generally enjoyed my experience. The bathrooms are a bit small/old but for the price it's a very good deal! :)

Happy with my stay there, however my overall impression was a little soured because of one of the tours I booked through them. This was a 3n/2d tour to Sapa. The bus was late to pick us up and even later to arrive in Sapa (6 hours late!), with very little communication provided about the delays or who even to contact once in Sapa. Although not directly Hanoi Hostel's fault, I hope they chase up my complaint, as they advertised the tour and collected payment. Otherwise very happy with my stay!

Truly a hidden gem in Hanoi! I stayed here 4 nights in a female dorm. Each bed has locked area for your stuff, and a bookshelf, book light, and outlet. The free breakfast was good as well: watermelon, bananas, toast, and omelettes. I booked Halong Bay and Sapa tours from the agency - convenient pick-up at the hostel and cheaper or the same as what other places offered. STAFF WERE EXCELLENT! The owner helped me get out of a delayed flight and and onto an earlier flight. STAY HERE!

The staff was very helpful and always had time to talk a bit if you wanted to. It's a place I highly recommend, although the shower was not cleaned in a long time. With many long-haired girls need to be cleaned often. Okay breakfast too. Nice areas to walk around in.

The storefront style front entry is a little unexpected but the sign above is very clearly marked. The front desk staff all speak very good english and one young man seemed to go out of his way to help me book a trip to Halong Bay. The location is off of the main thoroughfare, but not too far, so it was quiet and only a three minute walk to the night markets. The only negative would have to be the cleanliness of the beds and bathroom. All in all, good value for the money, and decent breakfast!

I enjoyed my stay in Hanoi Hostel. I ended up spending a week here in total after only booking a couple of nights. The room is what you'd expect, decent enough dorm that's cleaned daily. The staff are brilliant and helped sort our a brilliant tour to Ha Long Bay as well as my Open Bus ticket. They are really friendly, informative not pressuring at all. The free breakfast is a perk and the location is spot on, close to everything. Would definitely use again

Great hostel, brilliant for meeting people, especially as there are free beer during happy hour. I met some great people here that i will see and travel with through Vietnam. Great for solo travellers. Free breakfast is also good, the staff are so friendly and the tours and buses we booked were great and cheaper than others on the boat booked through other places. There is a flow of people returning from trips so you can always get a review from people who have just done the trips.

The hostel is located very good for sightseeing. If you arrive by plane better to have an airport pick-up organised, otherwise you will pay much more. It is maybe not the best place for couples but the valur fpr money is OK. The staff is helpful

The staff is very helpful. ATM just around the corner. A little bit noisy from street noise, but you can't avoid it in the city. Free breakfast is wonderful, too.

Only stayed one night but a pleasant experience. The 'happy hour' was a happy half-hour as the person serving disappeared on other duties. Nonetheless,a good way to get chatting to fellow travellers.

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely hostel and the staff were excellent right from the start. Their english was very good and everything that was promised was provided. The room itself (private room with 1 double 1 single) was very clean, no bed bugs, WIFI worked very well in the room and the beds were comfortable. Finding the hostel after dark was a bit tricky as it is down a one way street but each night we did eventually get there. Dont book the sleeper bus as the pics shown were not it.

Best Hostel I stayed in Vietnam by far! You gotta love the free beer during happy hour and the free breakfst. Cosy rooftop terrace is great to meet people and the staff is not only super friendly but actually gets you the best deals instead of trying to sell you the most expensive Halong Bay tour. Ask for the 1 day option being dropped off on Cat Ba island, best value for money! Thanks a lot guys, recommended you to everyone I met on the trip!
