Hostel is loud as the sound travels up the stairwell. However the rooms are hotel standard for hostel price. Helpful staff who will book trips for you.
Worst place ive ever stayed, smells from the toilets to dodgy beds
The dorm was OK, the only bad thing was a terrible smell coming from the bathroom ... A bit annoying
Member of staff waited up for us till 3am 5 hours late for our check in time just to give us or room. Friendly and helpful staff who worked really hard to please.
Staff were helpful but there was no WiFi and the reception has no air conditioning.
Cheap rooms were what attracted us to this hostel, however there was no atmosphere what so ever. Showers did not work, was always cold and hardly run. Service was pretty poor, and there complete lack of English/any other language made it very difficult to make any communication at all. The Sapa which we booked trip was also very poor and misleading.
My stay here was pleasant. You get exactly what you would expect from the price. It was clean, cheap, comfortable and straightforward which is all I look for. Also the location was ideal close enough to all the main attractions but minus the noise. Even though one night they over booked they took me to their other hostel free of charge and it was nice and clean and in a good location both including breakfast... Actually breakfast was better at the over flow hostel :)

The hostel was in a decent location for getting around to sights and coffee shops. We got a private room, which in and of itself was nice, but to get through it was back through what looked like a living area for the employees, which was a bit awkward. Wifi didn't work at all in our room; we could see the router just outside our door, but it was too high to reach to reset it, and the employees never seemed to get around to it when we asked them a few times.
My room had mice and when I told the staff about it they didn't seem to care.
Wonderful people at very good price ! Definitely, come back again! Next time, I am gonna try their restaurant menu. For people seeking to visit Hanoi, this is very good hotel to choose.
Good value, there were some minor inconveniences but the main issue was the second booking that they were unable to keep upon my arrival. They then sent me to a horrible hotel that I checked out of the next day. Staff members spoke very little English so communication was very difficult.
Zesty was great by arranging a taxi to pick us up at the hotel, our room was small but not tiny and it was clean and nicely decorated but we were woken up every morning by the staff shouting to each other loudly and we were on the third floor so I don't know what it must have been like for people lower. Also they offered tours which was great but they were pretty forceful with them and asked us our plans every single time we walked through the lobby, which made us not want to use them even more
Excellent value for money and in a great location. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful! Big breakfast and laundry can be done for a decent price.
Amazing value for money. Rooms are big, TVs work, air conditioning and breakfast included. Staff are really kind and helpful. Only annoying thing was the shower was broken and no shower doors mean water goes everywhere. Great otherwise.
This is definitely more of a hotel with some dorm rooms added on. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm and the beds were really uncomfortable and the room was very small. There was only one key for the room so when one of the guys from the dorm had gone out with the key, one of the staff members had to break into the room to let us in. Decent breakfast though.
vvely welcoming hotel and very friendly staff. A bit pushy with the tour sales but we just ignored it. Good basic breakfast and very good rooms. Great value for money
Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I have stayed in the hostel for 2 nights and paid 6USD for each. It is definitely good value for money.Dorm are good, clean and comfortable. Bathroom are nice, clean. Staffs are friendly and informative. Breakfast is good with egg, watermelon, bananas, tea, coffee. ..Recommended Hanoi zesty Hostel

This is the best Hostel we had stayed in Hanoi. All staff with warmth smile and greeting, just like friends of us. Mr.jimmy, who were very helpful with superb organisational skills during our tour. The rooms are immaculate and extremely comfortable. It's located right in the touristy area.
Stayed in a double private, the room was nice but the shower had some faults. We wanted to do some tours and when the staff found out we had booked through another agency they seemed a bit angry. The wifi doesnt reach the room so you have to go downstairs to use it. Breakfast was okay, not very big portions and the bread was stale. If you want a nice quiet place to stay then this hostel is the place to go.
