Everything was absolutely fine, except the toilets which STANK of sewage. Beds were comfy, I had brought my own bed sheets but actually shouldn't have bothered as bedding was clean and comfy. Lockers weren't great, one wouldnt lock luckily we were able to fit all of our belongings in the other 3 lockers. Cleaning staff were quite rude, in the morning the were talking very loud when we were sleeping in after a late night of partying, we politely asked them to quiten down which they refused!

This hostel didn't have a great atmosphere about it. It didn't feel particularly clean although having bathrooms in the bedrooms is good as you don't have to share with lots of people. The location is quite good as it's in the centre of everything. It's your average big, cheap hostel.

What else can you get from a hostel that sells itself as the worst hostel in the world? Loads of paperwork to get your room, you cannot check in before 14:00. The rooms are quite clean, but the rest of the hostel is a mess. The kitchen lady is a hysteric witch, and the cook looks like he has participated in a war, but if you ask him nicely, he might show you some nice knife-throwing triks.

The rooms and common areas were very clean compared to another hostel we stayed in the previous night in Amsterdam. The lockers in the rooms were very narrow so hard to get your bag in and out. I know there is a hostel restaurant, but it would be good if there was a kitchen for use of guests who want to prepare their own meals. Decent breakfast!!

Good Hostel, 15 minutes walking from the city center and red light, the breakfast is included and is decent. The hostel was a bit expensive for what it was, rooms and bathroom were clean.

We had a great time. The hostel was simple, clean and perfect for our time there.

Good location and value for money. The place was clean enough for me. Some broken lockers in the rooms should be repaired tought, and the free breakfast is quite restricted. Otherwise, the atmosphere was cool (too bad the bar was closed on the day I stayed) and the neighbourhood is nice to go out at night.

We just wondered why they want to know the arrival date if you're room is only ready by 2pm (doesn't matter when you arrive)...

The staff is not very welcoming but the price and the excellent location make this hostel a very good choice for a stay in Amsterdam. The room was clean but very austere.

For a place that advertises itself as the worst hostel ever, it was actually really legit. If I'm ever in Amsterdam again, I'd definately stay there. It was pretty fantastic, the food, the rooms, the atmosphere, the staff, the location. Just, get something else apart from Heineken for the bar. It isn't a particularly nice beer.

The beds are comfy and the blankets are warm, the lockers in the rooms are a great addition. The social environment was a little sparse and I expected it to be dense, so if you come here expecting to meet a lot of people and acquire a cohort, don't count on it too heavily. Then again, right time right place, so you never know. Bottom line, decent food, close to city centre. Easy to get home after a night out.

Vale quanto paghi. Mi sono svegliata con morsi di insetto su tutto il corpo a causa del pulizia molto scarsa. It's worth the amout of money you spend. Woke up with bed bug bites.

Well what can we say. Our immune system was not quite ready for the Hans Brinker or maybe we just live to clean a life style. But the blood stain on one of our beds, was a little of putting to say the least. We where very excited about the breakfast, until we realized if we wanted anything but coffee, tea, reformed cheese or ham, we had to pay for it. Will we stay at the Hans Brinker again, properly not, but we had to try it.
