Given their marketing strategy focusing on being the worst hotel in the world, I guess there's no so much to say! :)

Staff very rude. No friendly atmosphere. Cleaners came in room each morning very loudly waking everyone. Only plus side was ok breakfast if you had a long time to wait for food to be replenished each time it ran out. Wifi didn't work in rooms.

There was one bathroom for 8 people. The bathroom smelt bad,and was dirty. There should have been at least a seperate toilet to shower. or even another hand basin. We also had to wait half an hour for check out. There was only one person on reception, it shouldnt be too hard to get another member of staff to give back the euro deposit.

Everyone could enter and exit the luggage room. Should be more controlled.

I thought the Hans Brinker is a great place if you're in Amsterdam an you want to spend one or two days there. You might not get too much sleep but you don't want to slep too much once you are in Amsterdam. The Hostel is a great place with a nice club and a good atmosphere. You do not have to spend much money there and it is very central, clos to the great music club "Paradiso"! Just try it, you won't regret it.

It's great that most rooms have their own bathroom, plus a locker for each person. Beds were very comfortable. Reception staff could have been friendlier. Ground floor common/eating area was fab, colourful and cool!

A cleverly marketed budget hotel, setting expectations far lower than the reality - a well-located, clean, relatively cheap backpackers-style place to stay with a great atmosphere. If you like your home comforts however, you may wish to go for somewhere a little more upmarket. But if all you're looking for is a bed (& basic breakfast) - you can't really fault it!

Good hotel at many levels. Two points may be improved: 1. The quality of the breakfast (no juice, coffee quality.....) 2. The noise in the corridors after midnight. A group of german fellows was extremely noisy up to 4am. This should be controlled by the staff.

Great location, breakfast included, secure rooms at a cheap price. Better than most of the hotels in the area :) have stayed here twice and would go back again. Good work Hans Brinker!

Very good location, unique character, but the hostel could make an effort to improve security. And it should be less noisy.

Girls weekend in Amsterdam was amazing! The hostel is in the centre of Amsterdam. The lively bar is good for drinks and meeting people. Get tickets for the pubcrawl! It's worth every penny. See you nxt year Brinker! :)

Nice self-service breakfast. No surprise extra charges. Amazing disco and bar. Too much noise at night, though.

There were Mosquitos everywhere. I woke up with over 20 bites and thought I had bed bugs. I had to go to great measures to disinfect all my belongings when I got home. The bathrooms were uncomfortably unclean. Security to get in and out of the hostel was almost nonexistent and I also didn't feel the lockers were that secure. One of the lockers in the rooms didnt even work. Other than a good deal at happy hour and decently good, affordable food, I would not recommend staying at Hans Brinker.

The facilities were not very good, the bed was dirty, the lockers were so old that they very easily could have been pried open without a key, and almost everyone in my group got a rash at the hostel which are suspected to be bed bugs.
