The hostel facilities are fine and the rooms weren't as bad as some reviews suggest - the room is for sleeping in after exploring Amsterdam so who cares what it looks like. My only gripe was the location as it was a pretty long walk from the central area but this was more down to us making a poor choice than the fault of the hostel.

Was a quite calm hostel, few more persons in the weekend we were. On the other hand; the bed is confortable, but the rooms are a bit abandoned. The bathroom is so small, just for one person, and no space for being changed inside. The bar zone is quite big and with popular prices. It's not too far from the downtown, but there would be necessary to be more well indicated to get to the hostel.

Bathrooms are too small. When there are more people in the bedroom, the bathroom just gets incredibly messy after showers.

Acceptable location, the room was below average standard. There is a lot of noise from disco clubs nearby. The menu for the breakfast was very limited and the quality of the food was not good.

Excellent stay! Well located, good atmosphere and shower in each room (which is a really good point)! Also, the staff was really helpful. I recommend ++

Appreciated a free breakfast. Had a decent bar, and friendly staff. A decent walk from the centre, but situated near good transport links.

Cleanliness was not a priority for this place; also, the facilities were rather shabby and the hot water didn't work. I do understand that advertising themselves as the worst hotel in the world might justify these shortcomings, but it certainly could improve. IMPORTANT: I'm comparing it to hostels in other countries, so my judgement might be too harsh - I have not stayed at other hostels in this city, so I'm unable to say if other establishments offer better services.

This is not a hotel but a huge hostel which does not seem effectively run. Huge queues at reception and very unfriendly staff. During the 30 min wait at the reception, several people complained about their room, especially on cleanliness. Our room was relatively clean so no problem with that. We had a 5 bed dorm but the shower did not work so we were not able to shower during our stay. No other room was available. Very unfriendly staff and unefficient check-out! Would not recommend it to anyone!

My friends and I spent 3 nights here, and for what we paid, it was such value for money! The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect as everything was literally just round the corner. I'd highly recommend Hans Brinker for a cheap and comfortable place to sleep.

It's cheap and the location is good, but the rooms are rather spartan.

Great stay and will be back, hopefully it will be busier though next time so there is more atmosphere.

Stayed there one night. Don't remember how I got to bed, but it was definitely a good hostel. Would stay there again! Had a private room, which was up to par and nothing to complain about. Don't know about the dorms.

We stayed in a private triple - having the private bathroom was great and the beds were fairly clean and comfortable. Our lockers in the room were in need of repair but nothing was stolen and we felt good about storing our things in the room. Very nice people behind the bar and at reception. Don't expect much from the free breakfast but hey free food is free food. Thanks HBBH

The staff was good, but the fire alarme rings in the night and we doesn't know what to do... The hotel was a bit strange but for the price it was correct we just have a strange smell in our room! It's a good hotel for young people who wants to make a big party...
