Great location, room was cleaned daily, staffespecially daisy were. Breakfast was simple but good. Only problem was that this is not a hostel. It has a room of dorm beds but that's it. No area to socialise, no bar, no common room facilties. There is a TV in reception that the old guy is constantly watching but that's it.

Daisy is the most friendly receptionist. She gave me lots of advice about the city. I fell sick from some food I had and she took good care of me. Free coffee, tea and breakfast are a plus Although the dorm is basic and the bathroom was not particularly clean but that's pretty standard in Hanoi. Fits a traveller's needs and is cheap!

Pretty basic hostel - if you just want a bed and shower, this place is fine. We had a private room which was nice enough. No communal area so not the best atmosphere. The woman working during the day was nice and helpful but the evening/night staff were very unhelpful.

The staff was very helpful, especially the manager. She helped us book a fantastic trip to Halong Bay, and offered traveller's tips to Hanoi like where to exchange money. Our room was enormous, and the included breakfast was fine.

This was one of our favourite hostels during our Vietnam trip. Daisy and the owner of the hostel were extremely accommodating and friendly. We were here for NYE and they laid on a free keg of beer for guests. Located in a great place next to many restaurants and bars. We met a lot of fellow travelers in this hostel; whom we ended partying with and shared a great time. The hostel was relatively clean and lockers were provided for all guests. One downside is that breakfast is not included.

Great location, in the heart of the old town. And super friendly staff. Daisy will welcome you with a big smile and countless good advice. The owner even offered beer for New Year's Eve. Thanks for a great stay.

Good Hotel. We have spent four nights for the price a great hotel. The room is clean and there is a fine breakfast. The hotel is located in the old town and is definitely recommended. The reception is very friendly and helpful when planning a trip. The later check out of the room was no problem.

Hard to find as it part of 2- 3 other hotels. Entrance is shabby. On arrival they said they had not received our reservation and were fully booked however had space in a sister hotel which was a 15 minute cab ride away. Only in researching their alternative we discovered it was half the price of what we were meant to be paying and had terrible ratings! Needless to say we refused and went to find somewhere else.

"Nice staff and nice room" We always got a drink when we came in. We booked a tour to Halong Bay through the hotel. The tour was great and we were able during this time to keep our luggage at the hotel. Also when booking a flight we were helped. Super nice staff. Location was also great.

Daisy at the front desk is amazing. She is the sweetest thing I've ever met. The room is fine, however the bathroom is pretty bad.

Daisy (the receptionist) made us feel very welcome on arrival in Vietnam and went out of her way to help us settle in. She is a real asset to the hostel and is the main reason for my high ratings. The hostel is ok. The rooms are spacious and contain a fridge and tv which is useful but the sound insulation is poor and you will hear the horns of motorbikes all night long! Free breakfast was a plus and Daisy was able to get a pair of very wet and smelly trainers cleaned and dry in great time!

I loved my stay the Happy Backpackers hotel excellent facilities (stylish rooms with great water pressure, wifi good, powerful air conditioning, and Tea and Coffee especially free all day) and a central location in the Old Quarter. They booked train tickets and a Ha Long Bay cruise for me English abilities at reception are exceptional and they have a great sense of humor. I will definitely stay here next time

We stayed here for 2 nights before going to Halong bay and then we stayed again for another 2 nights when we returned. The staff are the most helpful we have ever come across. They speak fantastic english and will help you in any way during your stay. The rooms are very clean, WIFI is very fast, Breakfast is good and the location of the hotel is great in the old quarter.

Where to stay in Hanoi ? Here and only here. Here is the best atmosphere in all hostels when IIve travelled around Asia. This place is quite at nighy if you want to have goos sleep. But if you want to have a party hust head to the nearest pub. 1 min walkwalk from the hostel. And special thanks to Dazy receptionist she booked a wonderfull tour to Ha Long Bay. 6 star Hostel
