The breakfast was really good. My first room hadnt been cleaned so the moved me to a new room right away, but that one ended up smelling terrible due probably to a guy in the room (windows didnt really open). The bathroom was huge which was nice. The floors felt dirty though, and I didnt want to walk around barefoot. I came back at like 4am one night and the security guard was super rude to me when my card no longer scanned and i couldnt get in the door- tried to blame it on me!

+3€ for bedsheets at 18€ hostel. Wtf? This is not big money, but i didn't used to this kind of unfair business. Are you really suppose people traveling with their own stuff?) Just keep in mind that you will pay more at checkin. For bedsheets +1€ for towel. Room was underground and dark. Stuff didn't tell about all facilities before i asked. Very low value for money. Terrace and is nice

We had a really great stay! Only comment we can have is about the poor attitude of the staff when we arrived. Really grumpy, didn't want to get up to open us the door, not even the slightest effort to speak english... On the second night, my friend had a problem and got his card robed when going back alone: no one wanted to help him, and let him stay in front of the door until we came back. But apart from this, we had a great time in Berlin!

Great stay at Happy bed. realy worth the money. the place was clean, safe, and the location was central. I would come back if needed.

Not the greatest location, atmosphere was also a little lackluster. Helpful staff and good value for money though!

More of a hotel than a hostel. Made friends with those in our room but there was no real common area.. Location good for trams and transport links

Happy Bed Hostel was the best hostel I had ever stayed in. The location between 2 subways and near a strip of restaurants is perfect for travelers. The free breakfast was excellent and included a wide variety of food choices which was much appreciated. The only complaint I have is that the rooms facing the front are very loud due to the subway running all night. If tthere was better air conditioning in the building guests could close the windows in their rooms & not have to listen to the subway.

Worst hostel ever.. They charge you for everything

It is a bit far away from city but it is definitely worth, including breakfast and the bathroom was cleaned everyday. Staffs were kind and friendly. Get a bit disappointed with the wifi there and I need to go to the lobby everytime. Hope to see improvement in the wifi services!

Good breakfast included for youths, big lockers in the dorms, cool rooftop open until 10. It's a shame the WiFi was so terrible, if being able to connect to the internet is important to our while travelling then if you stay here you'll be better off heading to the internet Cafe down the road that the trying use the WiFi.

amazing hostel

It was ok for one night, the breakfast was not the best but ok; and you need to pay for the sheets.

Not all the front desk guys would speak the minimal English necessary for a hostel, wrong and imprecise information was provided by them and some of them were really not friendly/welcoming. Cleanliness was an issue: the bedroom and bathroom had a bad smell and were very disorganized. Bedroom's door would be open most of the times, allowing access to anyone not staying at that bedroom. Bedrooms' lockers were smal, not fitting any medium sized luggage.

There was very little atmosphere, there was no one in the common room for the duration of my stay. The bathroom had a horrible smell and didnt appear clean. They hostel charge extra for linnen, which is pretty archaic. And the rooms were way too hot!

The wifi here is absolutely shocking. You could only properly get it in reception and the breakfast area. Breakfast is awesome, best we have had. The rooms were okay, they got very hot though. The kitchen was lacking utensils and pots, pans etc. but was okay. The location is pretty good, it is in between two stations and is a short train ride to the city centre. There is also a lidl a 5 minute walk away. Overall it was a fairly good experience. Not the worst hostel we have stayed at.

staff were amazing, good wifi, good shower, and nice breakfast

No frills, but it has what you need in a hostel. Good atmosphere, staff are very helpful. Free breakfast was nice, as were the guest kitchen and lounge areas. My one complaint was that there was a lack of conveniently-placed power outlets in the dorm room.

As students looking for a cheap hostel to stay at, happy bed hostel definitely delivered on this but not much else. Situated really close to the tube station it is well located in that sense but no young people around- it seemed to be primarily older people on business trips, there is no atmosphere (it is absolutely silent) and it is very much not in a central area for things to do. Breakfast was ok- free so can't complain. Overall good for older people but wouldn't recommend for students at all
