Its alright, nothing special. Staff we're helpful and friendly. It just feels like a hostel with a confused identity, but perhaps that is why they stuck the word Boutique infront of it.
Happy Buddha is definitely one of the cleanest, most up-to-date hostels we've ever stayed at. It has a great atmosphere, great breakfast, and is an excellent value for money. It is located in the charming El Poblado neighborhood, but is a bit of a walk/metro ride to any notable sites.
One of the best hostels i have stayed in throughout South America.... They do need to sort out their "full" situation as they said they didnt have a bed for my last night when clearly there were half empty dorms. So spent my last night around the corner at the average Casa Kiwi.
Not enough bathrooms, if you get a room above the bar don't expect to get much sleep!!
Hostel didn't offer any tours. You have to find out everything by yourself.
Nice hostel with good activities and facilities. Good place to hang out in an awesome area with plenty of restaurants and bars around. People say it´s far from centro, but the metro is easy and taxis and cheap, and the area it´s in is better anyway.
Great location and amazing bar in the hostel! So easy to walk to all the other bars/restaurants and enjoy the night life! Tours can be booked at the hostel, but there's not much to choose from, and some don't even pick you up there. And there is NO LAUNDRY FACILITY, so don't be fooled by that. Other than that, great place to stay though- very lively!
Perfect location !!! Bedrooms very clean and tidy :) Price definitely reasonable! Best hostel around!
I stayed in the 6 bed female dorm with ensuite bathroom. The storage cupboards were huge and great to get everything inside The room was spacious enough. The bathroom was, though the showers and toilet had sanded glass doors so not much privacy, particularly for the toilet where door did not lock and it was not enclosed fully which meant locking the door to the whole bathroom if you wanted complete privacy on the loo!. The acoustics were quite loud but shutting the doors helped a lot.

Super friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, great atmosphere in the bar. Excellent location. Breakfast was a little light on quantity, but other than that, Couldn't ask for anything more.
Happy Buddah is a special place to enjoy Poblado. The location is fantastic. What makes it special are the people who work there, all the staff are so helpful and welcoming. Ana Piedrahita is exceptional in helping with everything a traveler needs. Monica Botero also was always so pleasant and kept the hostel so clean. You have a wonderful staff that makes us all feel welcomed. The only thing that needs improvement is your kitchen. Breakfst not worth getting up for and impossible to cook anything
Really nice hostel, nice sturdy comfortable beds, really good social vibe but without massive parties every night. Really easy to meet people. But like the other reviews, definitely not enough bathrooms for the number of rooms. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Excellent location El Poblado - definitely would recommend staying here
Was a great place to stay and very easy to meet people if travelling on your own. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Wish I was still there! Jarrod
The hostel has very nice facilities and is located in a great neighborhood close to the bars and restaurants. The hostel is well managed, and has a fun bar of its own as well.
Booked 1 night as we were originally going to move to join some pals at pit stop but we ended up staying for 2 weeks... Awesome modern hostel, friendly helpful staff, nice bar with good tunes every night and is located less than 5 min walk from parque lleras and all the bars and restaurants. Will stay here again without a second thought when I inevitably return to Medellin!
Good international hostel in Poblado. Great atmosphere with good music, ping pong, a pool table, and jenga. The 4 bedroom dorm is good enough to recover after walking around the city. Parque Lleras is a short block away, but the Metro Station is a nice 20min. Walk to catch the train to El Centro Medellin. There are many options but the Happy Buddha is one of the best.
One bathroom for over 15 people was a bit much. There was construction under our room with banging starting at 8 am although out of their control. Amazing space, unreal staff that are incredibly helpful and full of information. Bar was cheap and the hostel is very well located for bars and great great food. Medellin is one of the best cities in the world.
Great location, great set up. Think A/C or better fans and it would of made it right up there. Great terrace Bar which gets every one involved. Boutique not yet- but with the plans the onwer told me its def heading in the right direction. Would recommend this place still to anyone.
Great hostel with a really fun vibe and great people. Breakfast and washing service could be better but otherwise pretty perfect.
