This hostel is really hard to get a reservation because it's so great for the price. The showers are warm and they provide soap. There is a nice breakfast every morning. The TV is great for watching the Warriors beat the Rockets. There is always someone playing ping pong. The deck outside is fun to lounge and pregame at. They play western music which is very rare in Colombia. It is right around the corner from an exito express. This place is the perfect hostel.

If you want to party and stay up until 3:00-4:00 every night then go ahead. If you want to sleep a bit early some nights. Good luck! For some sleep ask for a room in the back. The front rooms have a shared bathroom for around 24 people so it becomes hectic. In the back they have some ensuite bathrooms in the dorms. Some rooms did not have extra keys so we had to go ask someone to let us in every time. Kind of annoying. The place itself isn't filthy or anything. But not that clean either.

This hostel is a hotel! Great amenities, great breakfast, and in a perfect location. Staff are helpful when it comes to arranging things and with advice. The only problem for me was the proximity to the bar.

Great hostel all round. En-suites are not cheap, though...

The hostel is one of the nicest I ever went to. It has a chilly atmosphere and very beautiful rooms!! And the surrounding are is extremely green and has lots of small little shops and cafes. Absolutely recommended!!!

The female dorm with ensuite bathroom is absolutely amazing, especially for hostel standards. Common areas with exception of the bar/ terrace are rather dark and the place seems to attract a slightly younger crowd

Great staff, breakfast was always delicious and great portion size, and the location is excellent! Would highly recommend and stay here again. Rooms, bathroom, and general area were very clean.

The hostel was wonderful, the location, the amenities were OK during my stay. The unique thing I can say is about staff girls who were a little bit rude when I asked for some suggestions for local attractions. I would like the staff could organize some Pub trips around the zone taking in consideration the zone is full of them . it would be great if the hostel could sell some souvenirs and traveler thing as PADLOCK or sandals which are often forgotten by guests

Beautiful hostel in equally beautiful location. Dorm rooms are a bit too cramped which makes them extremely hot though! Also the front door is so secure you can sometimes end up waiting for ages before anyone lets you in!

Amazing social hostel without being a party hostel & super clean. Originally we didn't book as it was advertised as in the heart of the zona Rosa (party zone) but don't let this put you off as the location is fantastic & the area is wicked but you can get as much sleep as you want as itt a short walk from bars & clubs. Best hostel we have stayed at & will be going back next time we are in medellin.

Staff were unhelpful, unfriendly and rude. bathrooms got fairy dirty at night. the six bed dorm was tiny and very cramped. location, wifi, bar, kitchen, and facilities were great. the bathrooms were modern with hot showers.

Very nice hostel in a great location. Always clean and beds comfortable. However some of the staff were not so friendly and it felt as though we were disturbing them. Breakfast varied wildly from being good to terrible. 6 bed dorms were cramped and should really be 4 bed dorms. Bar was ascetically very nice but didn't create a very social atmosphere amongst guests.....not sure why. Maybe due to it being also open to the public and the layout of the tables, people just remained in small groups.

Great atmosphere. A buddy and me, booked a double room with private bath room. Very cool staff and great traveling companions.

We loved Happy Buddha! Has a great atmosphere, fun events everynight, and good tour options. Only come here if youre up for nightlife! It's hard to resist the fun people you'll meet, the terraza bar (feels more like a swanky lounge), and its proximity to Poblado scene. Maybe stay the weekend and then move closer to the metro to explore the rest of Medellin, tho it wasnt too terrible a walk.. Only complaint: too many guests for too few employees! Often long waits at reception and for breakfast

Clean hostel, great location, good atmosphere and really good free breakfast. Staff weren't all that helpful and our dorm was so small it was impossible to move.

Location was perfect next to an area of amazing restaurants, boutiques. metro is 20 min walk, but I figure better to walk to subway vs. restaurants. Area is a bit touristy for going out, but you can find local areas nearby. Hostel atmosphere was perfect - very social but not overly party. Good areas to meet, organized parties & nice bar. Ensuite dorms were bigger & nicer for the same price. bathrooms super modern. clean. staff was nice, but they need more than one working at a time.

I just wanted a calmed night, and it was what I got. Pretty comfy! Nice breakfast, nice people, cheap beer, nice facilities! Just pretty good for a hostel.

The hostel is clean, spacious and good value for money. Great location near to bars and restaurants but far enough that you don't hear a lot of noise. The staff helped out when asked. female dorm was nice but the showers were a bit weird... just a frosted glass panel separating them & toilet. Parents double rm flooded through roof in heavy rain but I presume they'll have fixed that now and they gave a full nights refund!
