perfect saty in a traditional house in a wonderful city. staff is very kind and helps you anytime you need, also if you are around and call them by phon!

Very nice, excellent value, good staff. Took me about 10 minutes to get in on the Saturday night when I arrived back late (and sober), but really nothing to complain about.

It was difficult to find it in the middle of the night. The hostel is nice but not loud. If you want to rest and sleep is not for you. The dorms are just next to the windows with benches and tables, and guess could be very selfish when they have jet lag or simple wants to stay awake. The best of the hotel was that the staff help me to find a taxi to the train station and always wrote for me in Chinese the direction of where I had to go. I found disappointed I payed 40Y more for the great wall

A beautiful hostel with very authentic feel. Beds were comfy & everything very clean. We had a double ensuite room which was very spacious. It is very convenient for the subway line making it a great base for sightseeing. Staff were very helpful too. The bar was a good spot to meet people or just chill by yourself, only criticism was food could take quite a long time to arrive. Would definitely stay here again. And if all that wasn't enough, there were two pet ducklings in the pond!!,

Great hostel! A really good atmosphere, I'd definitely stay here again. The only complaint is that sometimes the food can take a while to come, but that's only a little thing. Staff really helpful and friendly, rooms clean and the courtyard was pretty. Thanks guys! x

Very nice place, great restaurant and helpful staff. Very good price comparing to the alternatives.. only bad thing is that there is no common room to hang out eccept the restaurant and bring your food and drinks therr... ju order. Very close to the subway station on line 5. Great place!

It's a fun place to stay, with rooms arranged around an old courtyard-style building, and a small dining area/bar in the center. It's rounded out with a ping-pong table (surprisingly hard to find at hostels in China) and tours that are definitely a value for the price. What really deserves mention though are the staff -- friendly and helpful under any circumstances, when we needed help to recover a lost passport they went above and beyond the call of duty. THANKS!

It was a very comfortable stay for us as a couple. I liked the fact that they are very close to line 5, they have very helpful staff, bar is great. I didn't like the cleanliness of bathroom n they smelled sometimes badly.

Great Hostel, with nice location in quiet hutong. Staff were exceedingly helpful and the rooms were well kept and clean. Only complaint was that our room was opposite the bar (m) so we found the noise at 1am a bit much when we wanted to get to sleep. Toilet has the ye 'olde Beijing sewer smell but was to be expected.Other than that a top spot.

Loved the Hutong location of the Happy Dragon Courtyard, very peaceful and quiet after busy sightseeing days. Easily accessible by subway, with just a short walk into the hutong. Free wifi and a small cafe/restaurant/bar in the courtyard much appreciated. Lots of character, great place to chill.

Basically, it is a very good hostel. Before I have been in Beijing, I had found that I made a mistake about the date of arrival. I sent the email to them. They replied me quickly. It is good. Their score should be 90. The equation is 40 (good staff) plus 20 (good location) plus 20 (relax environment) plus 20 (cleanliness) minus 5 (a little bit noiselessness as the kitchen is closed to bedrooms) minus 5 (shower rooms environment can be improved)

Absolutely amazing staff (especially "Peach" and "Rachael" - they were fantastic). The only slight let down was the moldy smell in the bathroom - it was clean, but it smelt bad. All in all a great little hostel.

Breakfast is great, only 20 RMB. 5 min from the next Metro Station. hostel staff can always good advices. Room and Hostel itself is decorated in Chinese style....looks beautiful!
