The staff were very helpful. The location was great. FYI ... there are few small restaurants behind this place that has great food and inexpensive .

Simon was ace. Really cool place . Slightly hidden away but good!
Staff were extremely helpful and lovely. The rooms were a bit dingy but for beijing prices it wasn't bad. Wendy and Sally were great and also the ladies in the cafe always had a smile!
Great Hostel. Great Food & Drinks! However, they only take cash!!
A good hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located near the Dongsi subway station. Did the tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall which was very good. Safety Note: "Hullo where you from?" - Beware of people who approach you close to or inside the Forbidden City claiming to be chinese tourists or art students. If they invite you to join them for tea/coffee or to visit an art gallery - don't go - even if they are wearing some badge identifying them as a guide. It's a scam.
People were very helpful during my stay, very informative. I booked a few trips with the hostel they were excellent so I rated facilities highly. Excellent location around the corner from a subway station, but the surrounding area was pretty basic and not amazing. The rooms were great, had lockers and air con, plenty of room for each person and curtains available for some beds. Bathroom was basic but tidy.
I really liked his hostel, and ended up staying for 5 nights when booked for 1 day. It has a great location to get to the main sights, but also being positioned in a market was great getting off the tourist circuit. hostel was clean, offered all the tours you would want and the staff are always approachable and happy to help out.
Hostel was a little difficult to find initially, so I'd definitely recommend printing a map as it's in a courtyard behind the main road. The staff were amazing, and I called them from a local hotel and Sally walked over to pick me up (Sally was lovely through the whole of my stay, really nice and friendly). The trips they recommended (Great Wall) was really good, overall the hostel was great.
