Happy Dragon is one of the best hostels i have stayed in in China. Not only are the rooms clean and comfortable, the staff are the sweetest and friendliest i have come accross in a long time and the food, drinks and atmosphere in the bar are great!! Also I have to say the Mutinayu great wall trip was one of the most perfect amazing experiences i have ever had and at a very reasonable price. I dont think i would bother to look anywhere else for a place to stay in Beijing, its perfect.

very nice location, helpful staff. although we had a communication problem at one point when we asked the girl at the reception desk to order us a taxi, and waiten 15 minutes thinking the taxi was on its way when in fact nobody answered the phone. But apart from that, all questions have been answered, Nice room, good price. Will probably stay there again when in Beijing.

We have come to the end of a month of travelling in China and we can safely say that this was our favourite hostel that we stayed in. The staff are fantastic. They are so friendly & helpful, they made our stay in Beijing easy and enjoyable. We loved the location of the hostel, it is convenient for getting to all places of interest as the metro is less than 5 mins walk away. The tours that we booked here were the best value of all that we did in China. Great food and bar. We would stay here again

we stayed 4 night at this small hostel and it was amazing. the hostel is a little bit old, thats why everything looks a bit crappy, but the cleanliness ist not too bad. they have a bar, which is pretty nice. what I have to mention is, that the staff is sooooo friendly and helpfull. they create a athmosphere fell like home...thats why we dont care about the old bathroom or the old room... the staff did such a great job...it was really nice to stay there...keep going like this.

Would defniitely recommend this hostel. Little bit expensive but double room is same quality as hotel. Staff were really good and went out of their way to help, even took my girlfriend to the pharmacy to help her buy medicine after we had already checked out the hostel

I appreciated how the staff went out of their way to help out their guests. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of the hostel and the young feel to it.

Great atmosphere and staff. The cafe/bar is a great spot to begin the day with breakfast and to finish the day with a beer. Location is off the main roads and was a bit of a trek from the metro.

The staff is very friendly and helpful at this hostel. The location is also very good as it is close to the Dongsi Subway Station, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing. The price is also low so it has great value.

First hostel experience - our first room was were given was different for our first night and that room was dingy, no lockers, and I had stain on my bedding (though you tell they had been washed) so first impression was iffy. Our 4bed experience for the final 3 nights was great! Clean and away from the commotion on the first floor. We took the great wall tour and the bike hutong tour and both were great. Staff knows English well & directed out lost taxi in finding the hidden hostel.

Great atmosphere and the staff is great! Our double bed single room was great, we had warm water, air conditioning, plenty of outlets and lots of room. I will stay here next time I come to Beijing.

Very friendly atmosphere and staff (thank you Betty!). Location not far away from subway station with a lot of local shops and restaurants around, even McDonald's, if you miss it (not my case:)) Not far away from forbidden city. Staff organize various parties, e.g. free BBQ party during my stay. Fruit market in the morning near by. Highly recommended!
