At 50+ we weren't the youngest back packers but felt completely relaxed in this friendly hostel. The food was good .the tuk tuk driver arranged through the hostel was fantastic and added to our enjoyment of our visit to siem reap and Angkor way. The hostel was clean and excellent value for money. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Such a nice retreat after a long day of exploring the temples! The staff is so accommodating and helped us with travel plans, laundry, tuk tuks and guides. The restaurant was delicious. Good walking distance from the action of pub street and far enough away to have some peace and quiet.

We made it clear to Happy Guest House that we were arriving very late on Sunday night, told them arriving 12:30am and they said they'd arrange for us to be picked up and would need to pay $1 for tuk-tuk. After landing, no one from HGH was there. We paid $15 for taxi, rang the night bell at HGH, and the guy stared at our confirmation paper for 5 minutes and said they went to get us at 12:30pm and they were FULL. Horrible customer service. If you want to risk being stranded at 1am, book here ;P

Very nice hostel, nice outdoor area, nice food, clean room and bathroom, good location, cheap. However, the staff was pretty horrible. We booked a deluxe double bed and were given a twin room without air-con and hot water... and without any discount . We had to insist and wait a lot to finally get the room we booked. We used the laundry service. It was bad and they mixed our clothes with other guest's clothes. Bike renting is expensive and the exchange rate they are offering is very bad.

Happy Guest House had very friendly, attentive staff and is in a good location set back from the main street. They also have bikes for rent. One thing we noticed was that there appeared to be some water damage in the ceiling of our room. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

We simply love this place and keep coming back. Chhopuan is a lovely host and her staff are extremely helpful. The atmosphere is vibrant and is a very healthy place to be in. Great food, helpful hints with itinerary and she runs a tab so dont always have your hand in your pocket. Pay as you leave without a shadow of a doubt that the bill is correct.

Pro: The bed are nice.. There's a grocery not far from the place and an ATM machine.. It's not far from Angkor Wat, roughly 7km only.. We rented a bike on our first day.. Our tuktuk driver, Kouen, is really nice.. Very considerate and explain bit of their history.. Con: Just that their wifi doesn't reach the room.. We booked for double bed, we got twin bed on the first day.. Need to move on the second day to another room where light is not working.. Though they fixed it the following day..
