Exceptional staff!! Upon my arrival late at night I was greeted by an incredibly apologetic girl at the desk who accidently gave my $6 room I had booked away and only had a $3 room. I would e people to take the $3 room as it is fantastic value for money. The room was very clean..the only downside isthe walk upstairs to the bathroom. I cannot praise the staff enough, incredibly helpful and cheery. Free internet access was a bonus. Staff booked my tour and bus tripp and provided great advice.

You get what you pay for - cheap rooms, small and clean but the sheets were stained. You also pay for what you get - hidden costs such as A/C pile up to make a budget room pretty expensive considering what you get. However, great staff make up for.

Good location, cheap rooms, helpful staff that will get up early to make you an Angkor Wat breakfast or rent you a bike, and just a 10 minute stroll by the river to pub street and the markets.

Happy Guest House truly lives up to its' name. I made a mistake in my booking and chose the wrong dates, but the kind manager shuffled things around for me so that I still had a place to stay. My bus was late, but the tuktuk they sent was still waiting, which was such a relief. When I arrived, the kitchens were closed but the cook still made a snack for me. The rooms were super clean, as well. My only complaint? The staff was sometimes a little TOO nice - they could be clingy at times.

I really enjoyed my 3 nights at this place. Clean, very affordable and the staff were just amazingly helpful and cheerful. I truly felt happy staying there. I also recommend that you ask the staff if you're in need of a guide or tuk tuk driver; they work with known drivers so less likely that you'll get ripped off. I paid 25/day for my guide and that included the 5am sunrise part. Otherwise it's only 20/day. Either way, a very good deal and I'm thankful to have asked the staff for their advice.

Great Guesthouse. very luxurious for the price! Lots of backpackers so easy to meet people if you travel by yourself. Great and cheap food and beer. Free bicycle rental. I loved it and extended my stay by 2 nights.

Happy Guest House was a really great place to stay. We meant to stay 5 days, and extended to 7. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Our only major criticism is that the tuk tuk drivers associated with the hostel do not provide competitive prices. When we tried to negotiate with one, he got upset with us despite other tuk tuk drivers doing the same trips for the price we offered. I HIGHLY recommend this place. 15 minute walking dist to Old Market.

A fantastic place! Everyone who works at 'Happy Guesthouse' is happy! Room was comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. Although a 10-15 minute walk from the main town it's very close to the museum and on the way to Angkor Wat. The staff here are very helpful and the facilities on offer are pretty good - wi-fi in the cafe, three computers (free), bikes for hire (although most are death traps!) and laundry. The food in the cafe is pretty good value for money too. Loved my stay here!

Much thanks to Happy Guesthouse for contributing to one of the best times of my life. Love the friendly owner Chhorpoan and her staff. Their hospitality truly made the guesthouse a home away from home. Pricing of room and food is cheap and good, best of both worlds. Lounge area is also a good area to chat with travelers over drinks and food. Love Happy Guesthouse and will definitely stay again when visiting Siem Reap next year.

Wish we could have stayed longer, however due to flights we had to leave. Location is 10mims walk from main area but it is refreshing to be away from the crowds, from time to time! Defiantly recommend this place!

Hotel room was very clean and maids cleaned the room, sheets and towels daily. Staff were very helpful and in the main area there was a board with a list of services they provided, e.g. trips, buses, etc. A 10-15 min walk to Pub Street but not a bad walk, a tuk tuk was only $1.50 and there were always drivers ready to take you somewhere at the hotel. Also a good place to book tuk tuks for the temples.

I've been travelling for two months around various countries. This is the best guesthouse so far. It had everything I could hope for. Most important of all - it had some very quiet rooms, and a very helpful and friendly reception.

Family run hostel, staff are very informative and helpful. Hostel has their own tuk tuk drivers that you can hire to get around and they can also help organise onward travel. Ensuite twin room was large with AC and very comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hostel is great too! Walking distance to all the markets and to pub street though only costs $2-$3 by tuk tuk. Highly recommended!
