If you're going in and out of Guilin, this place is in a good location; very close to the train and bus stations, and next to a cheap restaurant with an English menu. But other than that, give it a pass. I think they purchased boxsprings instead of matresses, the maids are noisy at night and walls paper thin, and the staff, though polite, are pretty clueless (problems with simple addition, didn't know about airport shuttle, etc). The place was fun because Guilin is an incredible place with lots of things to do and it is recommendable to take the tours on the big boats. The Hostel itself was not fun and they had problems giving toilet paper, at least the front desk but the maids are great and give everything needed.The place was fun because Guilin is an incredible place with lots of things to do and it is recommendable to take the tours on the big boats. If you come here just to sleep it is OK, I stayed in better places in China, but no complain - for 80 RNB you can\'t have all. Average hostel but nice staff trying to help. Location was a winner - minutes from train station, walking distance to town centre. Staff very helpful, and we were able to organise li river cruise to Yangshuo thru them for CITS prices. A/C good in room :) Bed a wee bit hard, but you get used to that travelling here ! Location was a winner - minutes from train station, walking distance to town centre.
