The night we were supposed to check-in was disastrous. The lodge was locked and when we contacted on telephone, the staff on other end declined to help us in anyway and told us that there will be nobody on the reception till 6 AM in morning. He advised us to go to the railway station and wait there. We spent the whole night in biting cold and there was nobody to even guide us further. In the morning we could check-in only at 7 AM and lady receptionist was RUDE to core of her heart. WILL NEVER GO...

The staff are too busy in serving the customers in the restaurant and bar especially in the evenings. It is not easy to interact/request them for any needed information. Otherwise the hostel is very good. We had a good time.

With a bar downstairs. Can be very very noisy. And the owners are not friendly at all, especially after receiving your money!

Great hostel! Absolutely worth it. However note that the common kitchen does not include any stove. Only toaster, water boiler and microwave ovens are available.

I loved this place. I had a private room the first night then a shared room the next two nights, really cool, clean and comfortable. The Brasserie 17 downstairs is the best place to drink and eat. I wasted money and time walking around at night trying to find a good restaurant only to discover this Brasserie 17is the best! I highly recommend staying here, good music, fun people, safe and in a great location.

the staff are nice and helpful. As i can't get any good suggestions and directions from the tourist information centre,so i ask the staff about any nearby attractions i can go by myself in 1 day. They gave me simple itienary so that i can follow the steps to do some hiking trail. But,the room is a bit small.....but, the toilet and shower rooms are great and very spacious, it has hangers on the doors~~it's great!

I love this hostel, staff are very helpful n friendly, they are always smiling which make you feel good too. There is guest kitchen so you can cook and save a bit in this expensive country. But there are no cooking tool actually, only micowaves n water boiling machines. Groud floor is pub n sometimes they have band show, a bit noisy but acceptable. Free wifi on groud floor. Once again, the staff there are Super, this really makes a different, i would def. recommend this to the others.

Bar downstairs was convienient and the bathrooms were really clean. Not a whole lot to do in Interlaken, but biggest town before heading into the Alps.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, super easy-going! Great location, too! Our room was very clean and spacious (private room), and the bathrooms were clean as well. I was very happy with our stay at the Happy Inn!

very good location which was close to the train station and shops. I paid for a 6 bed but got put in an 8 bed, but didn't realise until my last night. The staff were nice but felt you couldn't ask them anything and they were mosre interested in looking after the bar. The kitchen/bistro area was very dark and full of flies and didn't really want to eat there.
