Happy land was good clean and well run. The trip to the valley of the kings was fine but not too impressed by the stop at the alabaster shop. The tour was fantastic- priced the same as all the other budget Egypt hostels- but lead by a trained Egyptologist(!)

Staff were kind enough to prepare room after overnight train journey from Cairo meant I arrived at 6am! My reservation wasn\'t for later that night. Walking and finding the hotel is relatively straightforward with a few signs to help. Staff are nice on the whole, with breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Room itself was clean, with air con and fridge and bottle water on sale for LE2. Mosquitoes were really annoying though! Comfortable on the whole... Judge yourself! I love Mahmoud he is the best. Had a great stay in Luxor , very clean and good value tours. This is the place to stay in Luxor. Happy land is the best hostel i've ever been to. Very nice hotel, friendly staff helped arranged trips to suit us but weren't overly pushy. Good breakfast.
