You should give better advice on how to reach the hostel in a low-budget way. Once you land in Manila Airport it is very hard to know how to get around. The hostel should provide that advice. I once spent 670 PHP to reach the hostel and on some other day I paid only 24 PHP - from the airport you walk to the nearest metro station and take the metro.
This is more a boarding house than a hostel, and the long-term residents give it a homely feel which is good because everything is basic: no breakfast, if you want a towel you have to buy one, you pay a P1000 damage deposit, if you want to leave your bags there after check-out you have to pay for a whole extra night. All that makes if feel a bit mercenary but it's a good basic hostel for a couple of nights.
