We had a great stay! The room was spacious and extremely clean as measured by hostel standards. Westbahnhof is a 2min walk, so the location was very good, too. Staff at the reception as well as the cleaning ladies were friendly and attentive. Personally we thought the restaurant where the hostel would send you to for breakfast (extra 4€) is not the best choice for authentic Austrian cuisine, but it's only the hostel's recommendation and you may as well spend the 4€ at a bakery or someplace else.

Happy hostel is basically building with apartments,and some of them belong to hostel. Our room was double with shared bathroom,the room was big and clean,with really good heating,WiFi didn't worked,but they have two computers at the reception.In our "flat" we had a small but usable kitchen,bathroom and toilet,shared with 2 other rooms.Tiny complaint- there was no soap to wash hands. Location is great! You can walk to a city center .I would definitely recommend Happy hostel.

The room was clean and the shared kitchen had all necessary things. It was quiet, with easy access to supermarket, train station and city centre.

The location is very central- to begin your trip in Vienna. İt is clean and very warm (it's important considering the cold winter conditions in Vienna). We stayed in a 4 people dorm type room, it was designed well. We had no problem at all.

We stayed here for a week with 4 friends in an appartment. We knew we would be at the Raimund theatre almost every night, so we chose a hostel near, and this hostel was ideal, about 3 minutes walk from the theatre. To the Westbahnhof, and the U-bahn to the citycentre it's only a 5 minute walk. The appartment was big (especially for this price). We really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back here for our next stay!

Very nice and large apartament(with one room) with all facilities needed: kitchen, bathroom, hair dryer. Very good location, only 5 minutes walking distance from Museum Quartier.

it looks like an appartment-hotel because it lacks common rooms, the kitchen is inside the appartment and it's poorly equipped. The staff is friendly and cooperative, but sometimes it was difficult to find anyone (may be because it was Christmas time). The neighborhood is quiet but one needs to take trams or metros to go to most attractions.

Pretty nice hostel, good for the many you pay. If I would ever come back to Vienna I might consider staying there again

The room that we stayed was really big and have nice atmosphere. We are nice to stay in this hostel.More over the location of Happy hostel is Perfect.Just there is a woman in reception (the black one),she seems a little aggresive,we afraid of her :D

Too many people per bathroom. Bathrooms need to be cleaned more often. Too many people per bedroom--very cramped. Good wifi.

We booked a twin-private room and got an apartment in a nearby building. It was really great, clean and furnished. The location is really good and the staff is helpful. We enjoyed our stay and we have no complains.

The building itself has a lot of character. I stayed in one of the apartment dorms and loved it. The dorm had its own self-contained kitchen, living room, bathroom and toilet with two separate bedrooms with bunks. The location is great too, walking distance to the museums, Hofburg palace etc.. Wifi was fine, the rooms were clean, the place is secure, not much I can fault the place for. However, like others have said, the lack of a common room detracts from the fun factor.

We had a great time in this hotel in Vienna. Our room with the kitchen and the bath was more large than I expected. The hostel is very good located - close to the city centre and also the Schönbrunn. During weekends there is free parking on the street in front of the hostel.

good value for money, but still few things you need to work on. The room was comfortable, but the window was broken and shower holder was broken. That needs to be fixed.

WiFi connection was rather bad in the rooms we stayed. It worked only in one corner, but was not available throughout the room. I like the overall feeling of the hostel. Felt like family run inn. Not too far from city center.

Great location, 2 minute walk from metro. Big apartment room with own kitchen, ensuite and tv. Free wifi in all rooms but didn't work in our room, 1A. Staff were nice but not very helpful when telling them about wifi not working. Room was clean. Good value hostel for Vienna. Would stay again but make sure you check wifi works in your room first!
