Nice building but is long past overhaul of carpets and wall paint and it smelt a bit. Bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Allie was friendly and helpful, not so much the other staff member I encountered

Enjoyed our short stay, would like to have stayed longer but the bus was booked for onward journey.

Awesome place to stay in if you're in Tauranga! The kitchen is great and has a beautiful patio :) The people working there were very nice and helpful, and gave great recommendations as to where to eat and what to do! Loved it here and would definitely recommend it to others as well!

this is my 2nd stay with Harbourside City Backpackers and it's highly recommended. Excellent location, value for money.

An ideal location on the water front, staff very helpful and friendly even to mature backpackers. We would definitely stay there again. We did not approve of Hostel World charging the booking fee in US Dollars instead of NZ dollars and will not be using them again.

Me and my girlfriend only stayed for 2 nights but we were generally pretty happy with our stay. Nice location, clean and secure. There were some dramas with a group of guests at night but the friendly staff handled it well.

great location, brilliant terrace, pretty basic though but nice and clean

rooms were too small and mattresses were really poor quality.kitchen was too small for that many people and no tv (people playing games all night).view from the balcony was nice though and good location.

If you want to get to know people, while you're sitting at the balcony this is the perfect place! At the weekend people are always in a good party mood! Was a great fun to stay there!
