Everything was perfect. Nice staff, best location right next to the beach. Rent a motorbike and you get around the whole island. Best kite surf spot if you're interested. Very cosy bar at the beach approx. 300m to your left

Definitely a party hostel but easy to find chill people who just want to hang out also. Good place to go for a solo female traveller looking to meet interesting people. Just don't expect too much peace and quiet.

Amazing hostel. Only drama was they didn't pay the wifi bill so it was not working in the rooms at the time, but other than that nearly flawless. You won't find better value for money; the place even has a pool. Probably the best location on the island for the half moon party too. Highly recommended.

We booked to stay at the villa but got dropped at the hard road cafe, Jeremy kindly gave us a lift though to the correct place (just down the road) and told us that we were very welcome to come back to the cafe to use the facilities there. The villa is a lot more quiet and the price was excellent :) the pool is such an added bonus and being able to socialise over at the cafe makes it the best of both worlds :) would recommend this hostel!

Its a nice hostel, with a lot of activities to do during the day. The restaurant is open the hole day amd offers western and thai food. The french staff is really friendly but most of the thai staff seems enoyed of the guests. Anyway the service is good. But it is not in a town so that u can not do to much. The rooms are clean but the bathrooms are horror full! The beds are ok and the lockers are just big enough to do the most important tgings inside.

Great place to stay at! I booked early and only paid 100 baht a night (the cheapest I've paid for accomodation in Thailand) and it was for a really nice dorm. The room is so big there's a small living area in it. Room always looked really clean. The staff are awesome. The receptionist Chloé is so nice! If you have a question, she has an answer and if not she'll find out for you. Definitely would stay here again.

This hostel is truly something. It easily goes on my top 5. Its obvious the villas were from a previous hotel facility and are converted for hostel life. They are super clean and the staff is very accommodating, they take customer service pretty seriously. Special shout out to Celine and Eugenie doing their Internship there. They were great, going out of their way to make it a positive experience.

Fantastic place to stay for full moon, away from the crowd in a little tropical poolside paradise which is very welcomed after the crazy nights partying. Matthieu and Chloe were awesome and super helpful. The only problem was our air conditioning was broken despite three attempts to fix it. I would definitely stay there again, great atmosphere to party.

I had a really great stay at Hard Road Villa. I booked 2 nights and end up staying 6. Hard Road Villa is a place designed to be an Hotel and was adapted for backpackers, so you stay in an hostel but benefict from hotel facilities. You can also use the facilities of Hard Road Cafe which is less than 5min walk. Villa is more to relax and cafe to party. The staff was really friendly and helpfull, even when i asked for something they don´t have to do they were always ready to help.

We spent four nighta at the hard road villa, originally we only intended to stay for two nights but we liked how chilled out the place was since we were not staying during full/half/black moon. There were a lot of cheap thai places to eat for 50 baht a dish. And we did some yoga classes at the Siam healing center about twenty minutes down the road thorwards Thongsala which were great fun. Staff was nice and the pool was OK but needed a bit of cleaning.

Good hostel for socialising with a nice outdoor space and swimming pool. We were there for the half moon party which wasn't far so a taxi is a reasonable price. Very reasonable room rates especially as there is ac however there's only one (quite grimey) bathroom for 10 people and no communal toilet outside. Overall nice hostel and we met some nice people here.

For 100 bhats per night with huge pool, is just the best hostel ever. The room was huge and spacious. Big only bathroom for 12. Good wifi. Far from the nicest beaches of the south. It is like a kidney of the HR-cafe. You can go to the other one and use everything. Party is there too. You come here for sleep, which is very comfortable. The pool, very big for a hostel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and the owners are super awesome! Guests are welcomed to use facilities at both Hard Road Villa & Cafe. Staff goes out of their way to help us resolve a DVD issue in our rooms which is super impressive. Facilities may be a little run down, but it seem like they are slowly doing a lot of maintenance work so it wouldn't be a big issue for long. Our group got free upgrade to the biggest room they have for the same price for a dorm. highly Recommended!!!

Good value for money but that's pretty much it. The last at the reception (owner?) seemed to constantly be in a bad mood and was quite a grump. The food ordered is cooked in the next streets cafe so if takes a while, be warned you'll be waiting at least 30 minutes. Next to the beach but a bit far from anything else. A 15 minute walk to the nearest 7/11 and will need to motorbike into town

Overall was easy and very cheap!! Best thing was the pre party held at main hard rock villa was good fun!

Jeremie and team are fantastic. Extremely helpful. The Hard Road Villas are pretty quiet so personally if I stayed again I would stay at the Hard Road Cafe (just up the road) as it is more sociable which is where we tended to hang out anyway. Also try ABC cafe near the 7 Eleven for food. Large delicious meals from only 50 BAHT.
