Had an amazing time in an amazing city for new year's eve, including a cool party in the hostel. The hostel is really clean, has friendly and helpful staff. The common room and dorms are really nice as well. I'll be back for sure!

Haris Youth Hostel was nothing short of excellent. Haris is the coolest and most helpful person I have met and his hostel was fantastic. Clean and in a neighborhood with a lot of character. Even though there is a bit of a walk uphill from the center, I would stay at no other place. I will be coming back to Sarajevo and Haris Youth Hostel!

Haris Youth Hostel is excellent, the Staff is very friendly and the service very good. It s located at the old city , very near the historical center. If you go at Sarajevo, go to the Haris Youth Hostel and his warm and friendly atmosphere.

A friendly staff helped me dealing with the local police. The hostel lies on a hill, and the walk up there passes a beautiful muslim graveyard and keeps Your heart young. In the kitchen/living room I felt like at home, definitely a reason to come back to Haris.

We loved Haris Youth Hostel! It has everything - comfy beds, great common area, cool location and fantastic staff! Definitely do Haris' tour, it is such an incredible insight into Sarajevo and BiH, one of the highlights of our trip so far. Haris and his sisters are lovely and will take great care of you. Enjoy!

Its very far from the station (but taxis are cheap) and you have to walk a very inclined and long street to get there. The staff is friendly, especially Juliette who is super friendly and helpful! The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is ok! Good small lockers.

I really liked the fun and social atmosphere on the terrace. Being there was a great way to enjoy the Sarajevo sunset (despite the cold night weather!). Although the hostel is located on a hill, it's not in a touristy-area which definitely adds to its charm and gives you a feel for an authentic taste of the city.

One of the best hostels i've stayed at! The commom room lounge/kitchen makes for great interaction with other travellers. The balcony provides the best vantage point of the city in the city! (except for the fort a bit further up the hill, which is definately worth a visit). Don't worry about the walk up the hill to the hostel from town, just pay the 4 mark (about 2 Euro) and get a cab. Thanks Haris and family for a lovely time in Sarajevo :)

The walk up the steep hill is worth it for the spectacular view of the city from the patio area of the hostel. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Security lockers are provided. A barbecue is provided on Sunday night free of charge.

Great hostel. Amazing view over Sarajevo. I found it a little difficult to find as I arrived late at night and the directions sent me to Haris Tourist Office and not the hostel. A great place once I found it though. Good kitchen and living space, good wifi, cool people. I'd stay there again.

Very nice and well located hostel. Nice view fom the terrasse on the rest of the city! We could park our car in the garage for free so it was cool! But the kitchen was a bit dirty, it wasnt the fault of the staff but of the people staying there who didnt wash neitheir their dishes nor the table after using it...

Excellent host! Very, very knowledgeable about the city and its history. Also very helpful and accommodating. He lives at the hostel and is always available. I highly recommend the 6-hour tour that he guides. The place seems to attract a very friendly crowd. As some commenters have said, it's a bit of a walk uphill from the old part of town to the hostel, but it's not too bad if you're in decent shape.

On arrival, Haris greets you and immediately you get a sense that you've chosen the right hostel. It is a large two storey house with a beautiful balcony and large sitting room/dining area. There is a really friendly atmosphere.Haris and his family just cannot do enough for you. When you get off the tram there is a tough uphill climb but honestly it's well worth it, the view from up there is spectacular yet it's still really close to everywhere also do 'the War Tour' - it's amazing.
