The room is very small and almost nothing is inside; and it is hard to take a shower in your showering room: no hanger or hook or other place to put clothes. However, since it was cheap and clean; plus very nice staff, security and gym facility, I should not complain about it. Anyway, I may stay there in the future.

The room was small, but I liked the view from the window. Also a small fridge in the room was a great surprise. The staffs were helpful. My room key was not working after the check-in, but they changed my room very quickly. If we can use WiFi in the rooms, it would be great.

The rooms and facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. However, the showers on our floor rarely ran warm let alone hot water. Also, the rooms are VERY small and there are only bunk beds - meaning that if you book a "twin" room you'll have bunks, not a double bed. The location is very convenient; it's right next to the 2 and 3 trains on the subway which makes most everything easily accesible. I would definitely stay again.

We booked a twin bedroom for two nights. We arrived around 10pm so that checkin could be done with the security guardian only. We had to give him our two passports, which we could get back in the morning, between 8am and 9am (not later). The room was very small but clean. It was so noisy all the nigth that we could not sleep. There was always people going around, making a lot of noise opening and closing doors. Doors have also little openings (like cells in jail). We canceled the second night.

A great place to stay for the budget traveler. Rooms are clean, as are bathrooms, the location is great, situated between 2 subway stations, approx 15 mins to Times Square, very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

It's a nice place to go if you just need a place to sleep. Room was a bunk bed. Very small. The location is likely one of those places you'd only want to go to for sleeping. Guests can use the YMCA gym, pool, and lounge for free. The staff were nice and helpful. Wi-fi is only available in the lounge in the basement. Pretty good experience overall.

Very nice staff, location was great, too. Only 5 Minutes to the subway, you can get everywhere . No WIFI in the rooms, would be good to have thios feature. WIFI and TV only in the lobby. The rooms were simple but good enough to sleep there. They were clean, too. Concluding the stay was very nice, I woul visit this hostel again.

It was fabulous that my friend and I got a private room which was unexpected. Meant we felt very secure leaving all our things there. This place was basically a place to return to exhausted in the evening and leave in the morning. Didn't really have a social aspect at all. The living area was pretty sterile. The only and MAJOR frustrating thing was the use of the internet. It cost nearly 40cents a MINUTE to use which was super costly. Also the staff don't give change which was difficult too.

It was not bad for thos money in NY. Only one thing. The Heater was broaken. It was too hot and unpossible to switsch it out. And when - than it made very big noice ( maybe the air in the tube), that we could not sleep well. The only possibility to made this room colder to sleep was to switsch the aircondicion on. But it is not "think green"! Please, repare it!!! It was room 1008. Thank you.....

please put in toilet bowl brushes in the bathrooms so that guests can 'clean' the toilets themselves when needed, and a long squeegee stick so that after showering, guests can wipe the floor also themselves. other than that you guys ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

People were nice, rooms were very basic but warm and had everything we needed. I love the neighborhood, especially when you walk down to 125th street. My only complaint about the hostel is that there was not much hot water for showering - it was lukewarm at best.

I was woken up repeatably during the night. Firstly a cleaner banged on the door at 1am wanting to wax the floor! t about 1:30am security turned up to throw me out, apparently I shouldn't be in the room. I kicked up a fuss as I had paid and been given the key, they were going to return in 10-15mins to move me rooms (at 1:45am...) but never returned by 2am, so I went to sleep and left first thing. Appalling service, all I needed was a quiet nights sleep, the filth I could put up with.
