Harlem is very scary at night but the staff were nice. No girls bathrooms?? Even though girls were allowed to stay.

The YMCA is well organized. The building has charm. The fitness room is excellent.

The room is too small. We can't breathe fresh air and feel pressure in the room.

Cool neighborhood. Recomand. Rooms tiny. Two people hardly turn around. Not very clean. BEWARE OF PAYING BY INTERNET (CREDIT CARD). Someone braked into my account and I lost 2000 euros!!!!!!!

Compared to the price paid it's honest value for money.

The Harlem YMCA is a perfect hostel for people who want a basic, private, cheap and clean room. The next subway station is 5 minutes away and it takes about 30 minutes to Times Square. The neighborhood is safe even late at night and there are a few deli shops just around the corner if you are hungry or thirsty.

It takes about 2.5 hours from JFK airport to Harlem YMCA.
