A fantastic hostel with lovely staff and a great vibe to the place. This was just the sort of place we were looking for in Rio, not a party hostel but friendly and sociable with a laid back feel to it. The rooms were pleasant enough, normal bunk beds instead of the triple deck bunks you get in other places in Rio. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. Buses to everywhere left from just around the corner.

Excellent location. Conveniently near many restaurants, cafes and bars (including the pricey delerium tremens cafe a couple doors down) as well as a short walk to the beach. Located in a courtyard amongst a bunch of other hostels (door #18). Staff was great and spoke good english as well as portuguese.

I had an excellent stay in the Hostel, the Staff was very Friendly and helpful to gave you tips. The people there was very nice. The breakfast was very nice and the beds very cozy. Y recommend it!!

A nice little hostel where the manager and owner do a lot of the shifts. Most of the other staff are new. They have a few more rooms that arent on hostel world including a double that is 130 per night - email them to enquire! It feels quite safe as its down a gated side road, however lockers are small and there is no real luggage storage, you just leave it at reception. It has a nice family feel as its small, and they offer good tours and will help arrange transport. Sad to leave!

Staff were so lovely here and so helpful with finding our way around the city with some great advice that might not be on the tours. Very clean, lovely breakfast. Very chilled out place where everyone's getting on and a really good vibe. Don't have a bad word to say made our time in Rio unforgettable if it wasn't already. Thank you.

Brilliant hostel for a solo traveller - atmosphere is great, really easy to meet people. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful / can't recommend this place highly enough. Book early - it books up fast and several people wanted to extend their stay and couldn't as it was fully booked.

The staff in this hostel are very friendly and helpful, which made all the differences. The hostel, like all places in Rio, is not very spacious, but they kept the place clean. The only issue I had was that there was not hot water in the last day of my staying. Otherwise, a good place to stay with good breakfast.

It was a reat experience. All the staff was very nice, always lloking how to make your staying more comfortable.

Amazing! I completely enjoy my stay in hormania the most because of the staff Christian,Sabrina and Saskia ,they are the so nice,helpfull and speak multi language , the place and location is quit good within walking distance you can find a lot of convenient shops and restaurants... over all it super experience I highly recomend Harmonia to anyone who wants to experience Rio de Janiero....by the way thnx guys for a great hospitality ....

It is well located and well ran. The showers are big enough and the staff guys are very helpful and hospitable.

A small, cosy hostel in an excellent location. The staff know a lot about the area and are always willing to help. Huge breakfast in the morning.

We spent 3 nights hear just before Carneval, the hostel was in a great spot in the centre of Ipanema down a secure street around lots of other hostels. It was pretty small but had loads of character and nice communal spaces and a good breakfast. Chris who co-runs the hostel was fantastic he made us feel right at home, nothing was too much trouble and he helped people hire bikes/organise trips etc. We would definitely recommend Harmonia.

- Nice staff - Nice breakfast - Good location - Not enough bathroms. It's normal to wait some minutes to use the bathrom. And the bathrom is clean but not very private.

Great location and great staff! Also, the clean bathrooms and air-conditioned room were a huge bonus!

I loved everything about the hostel.
