Amazing staff--always wiling to help you with directions and what to do. Some will surprise you when you go out with them. The excursions offered are always a great deal; they definitely don't try to rip you off like some hostels. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is the best I've had (and all you can eat--bread, ham, cheese, fruits, eggs, juice, coffee). Wifi, one computer. Still highly recommended.

This is a fab hostel three blocks from the beach in ipanema. The dorms are v clean and the staff are so nice, friendly and I found went out of there way to make your stay comfortable and fun.I had some banking issues when there and much to my graitude they were so understanding. Breakfast is good lots of fruit with a treat of homemade cake a few days a week yum. I would highly recommend this hostel

Great hostel just minutes from Ipanema beach, fantastic loaction. Staff was very nice and helpful, and had very good tips on what to see and do. Small minus for the occasional clogged toilets and only one computer in a crowded space. However, would definitely recommend the hostel and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

It's impossible be better. The better staff, good location e silence to sleep.

Nicely run place, quiet and not a party hostel, which I like. Many guests stay there for weeks/months. Good kitchen, nice beds, a bit cramped though, no bedlamps and some broken electricity. Really nice place though and extremely friendly helpful staff. Well recommended.

Harmonia is great!! The staff are friendly and very helpful, so are the guests!! It's just like home!!! It was great experience staying there! I love Harmonia so much, and will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!

This hostel was one of the best I have ever stayed at. The staff were so helpful, informative and fun. They consider the needs of every person staying at the hostel and really go out of the way to make sure you are having a good time, are comfortable and are enjoying Rio. The hostel was really really clean, wireless was fast and they had a massive TV with English speaking channels. Because the hostel is quite small, you get to know everyone really well and make lots of friends.

Our stay at Harmonia was fantastic, Chris and the staff are extremely helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending to other travelers

I had an excellent time in Harmonia. Starting with very nice staff, clean bathrooms and rooms. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It has an incredible atmosphere where you can get to know very nice people coming from all over the world and make new friends. Its location is unique and very safe. I feel Harmonia like my second home. Thanks Chris, Maya, Martha and Maria for making my trip to Rio unforgettable.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. This hostel is a gem and really clean and relaxed. I would be happy to stay again.

Chris likes to say he runs a home not a hostel, and it's really true. Chris and his team really make you feel like your at home and part of the family. The rooms and bathrooms are large and kept very clean. The home is very quiet at night and lively during the day.

Marta, Maya and Chris were amazing hosts! I loved our conversations and all the help they provided. The location is perfect - just a few blocks from the beach. Met great people, had amazing tours / activities planned, and fun nights out. Will definitely be back to Harmonia!

The hostel is a nice old building in a quiet, safe, area down an alley with a number of hostels which makes a fantastic community place to meet others. Just 3 blocks away from the beach so about 5 minutes walking. The staff (Chris, Maya and Marta) were really welcoming with lots of advice and tips and nothing ever seemed too much. Rooms are clean and spacious, clean toilets and showers. Organised quality tours for me. Fantastic breakfast. Free internet/wifi, cable tv, chillout living room!

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. I travelled solo but almost straight away I got to meet people as the social area is brilliant for getting to know other guests. Staff were so friendly, really helpful in booking trips, helping with buses and the metro and giving their opinions. Free breakfast is perfect, kitchen was really clean, Cable TV, rooms were clean, really peaceful so you can get a good sleep whatever time you go to bed. Bathrooms were clean and enough so you never had to wait. Perfect
