For sure one of the best hostels in which I've stayed. The location is amazing, 5 minutes walking from Ipanema Beach and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Services are very good, and the owners and workers are really nice. Next time in Rio I'll be there again!

great hostel in the middle of ipanema, is close to everthing: ipanema and copacabana beach, banks, supermarkets, Ipanema subway station... the owners are really sweet and kind, and the hostel is one of the cleanest we've been in brazil. we had a awesome stay in harmonia hostel and in rio!

I liked a lot this hostel, especially people's attention and organization/cleanliness. Breakfast was very good and location was too a diferencial. Must stay in this hostel in Rio de Janeiro!

Great hostel, ran very well, with great staff. It's a little hard to meet people though I you're travelling alone but other than hat it's in a great location, it's very clean and quiet. I would stay there again.

I have enjoyed staying at this hostel because the staff were very nice and helpful, the only thing to say is that the toilets were not clean, I stayed there for 2 days and I noticed the shared toilet I have used upstairs had not ben cleaned every day like I would expect to.

We enjoyed our stay in Harmonia. Location is one of the best in Rio, it's easier to go to Rio attractions by Metro or by Bus or even on foot (10 min walking you can go to Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, 05 min to Ipanema Beach). And it's also a safe hostel, with a safe neighborhood. The owner and the staff are kind and very cool. Towels and sheets were clear, bedrooms are small, but clear and the breakfast is OK, but it could be improved. We will return to Harmonia, next time we return to Rio.

Staff were lovely and helpful. Bathrooms are massive and clean, which is a change for a hostel! 6 bed dorm was roomy and the location is incredible.

Good location ! For the Brazil hostels parttern, is a good choice ! The rooms are not soo big, but it's okay ! If you go, choose the 6bed's room ! The 4bed's room is so small. Breakfast is simple but works ! The bathroom is SO clean ! Positive point !

We stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm for 4 nights and then returned for 1night in the double room. Breakfast was excellent (from 9 until 11!) and the place was spotless! The handtowels in the bathroom were changed at least twice a day and Mary was always there cleaning! The staff were really helpful with advice on restaurants, tours and booking us a cheap safe taxi to the airport. They are all fluent in English. The beds were comfy, the a/c good, friendly atmosphere, hot showers! Def reccommend

What an awesome hostel! Perfect location in Ipanema on a small gated side street full of hostels. Swedish owner is friendly and knowledgeable as are other staff members. Breakfast was ok, the usual choice of bread, ham and cheese with fruit, tea and coffee. Bathrooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Rooms were bright and airy but lacked storage space and only lockers were downstairs. Beds in 6 dorm room were clean and comfy. Overall great stay. Recommended.

hI, I STAYED IN Harmonia for 3 days and it was the best hostel out of the 3 i have been to even though the other ones were good too!Staff is very nice friendly and there is a great atmosphere there!!the location is perfect the dorm was fine too i highly recommend it to anyone!!!!

Very friendly and helpful/knowledgeable staff, definitely the best part about the hostel, along with the location in beautiful/vibrant Ipanema, minutes from the beach. Great breakfast too. Thanks for everything!

In one word... Awesome! This hostel has everything you need for a great holiday. The rooms were great with nice cold air and the bathrooms were very clean and private. I have met some amazing people at this hostel and will return for sure on my next visit to Rio. Chris, the owner is great. He really makes the hostel what it is, he is always there willing to help you with any information you need. I feel I can call harmonia my home in Rio De Janeiro!

Great to stay here, a lot of young people around. Breakfast was nice. I'd recommend Ipanema as the best place in Rio to stay. Beach, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, etc. everything very close.

Chris IS Harmonia!!. The Location is one of the best... safe neighborhood and a few minutes to Ipanema beach.... We will surely return to Harmonia hostel... Btw I suggest arrange a small room for just 2 or three people!

Great staff. Chris, Saskia, Mary and JP are so nice, so sweet and very helpful. They are always ready to help you with whatever you need. The location is wonderful: the neighborhood is full of bars and restaurants and the vibe is amazing, and it's walking distance from the beach and from the main streets of ipanema, close to buses, metro, bakeries, grocery stores, pharmacies and everything you may need. The place is very safe and clean. I fully recommend it.
