Hashorva Guesthouse welcomes you to Gjirokaster
The entrance to the B&B is laced with grape vines and an affectionately maintained array of flowers, fruits and vegetables, providing a miniature oasis for visitors.
The large guest room has been restored to its original appearance with traditionally carved wooden elements. It is fit for a pasha, with a large double bed, dining room table and extra beds in reserve to accommodate families or travel companions.
Staying here helps the visitor to appreciate what Gjirokaster might have been like in the late 18th century. The house is fortified with narrow windows, bolted doors, and a well for drinking water which would have given this family the ability to withstand a small siege in relative security.
Beginning in September the family gathers the grapes to make wine and raki, so if you are in Gjirokaster then, it's a particularly wonderful time for a stay. The bathroom is large, clean, and well maintained with 24 hour hot water. A simple, delicious breakfast is available upon request.
