Great location overlooking the Nile and just around the corner from the souk. Nice staff but Hotel just lacking something. Left 1 day early, not due to Hotel and only charged for half a day which was a nice touch, as everywhere else in Egypt seem to want to take you for as much money as possible. Rooms basic but thats what you expect for money you pay.

nice place to stay, swimming pool and nice location but very bad staff. receptionist was rude. booked a felucca trip and did not get what we payed for. he told us 5 people and there was 15 of us. don't book any trips through this hotel, he wasn't nice from the beginning and ended up getting screwed over. book with felucca directly and don't go through any hotel. if u find a guy named alladin book through him, good hearted and true guy. we made the wrong choice. the nubian way is the right way

This hostel was just OK really. The best thing about it was the amazing location right on the nile and stunning nile views from our room and the rooftop terrace. The swimming pool on the roof was great too. The breakfasts here were pretty poor and the staff were pretty stingy, trying to charge us for extra butter for our bread. Some of the night staff were very sleazy too, staring and making inappropriate remarks at women. The tour to Abu Simbl organised

The hotel is nice and worthy of the price. I don¡¦t recommend their half day trip to Abu simbel because you might pay the same to have different seat in the bus.

The first employee we met when we checked in was rude to my Egyptian friend who was with our group. We thought that was inappropriate and unkind, and we will not be recommending the Hathor to our friends. The Keylany Hotel was much more inviting to everyone in our group, and we will stay there next time.

The hostel is at the corniche and has a swimming pool on the roof. Although the lobby looks a bit shabby, rooms are tidy and clean. Service is ok. Staff is friendly. The AC can only be tunred on or off at the counter and not in the room. As in all hostels I've visted in Egypt, breakfast could be a little more
