First evening and following morning male toilet smelt strongly of urine in spite of every window being open. Shower drain was almost blocked with hairs. Second evening and morning slightly better. Apart from the above the hostel seems well run, friendly and reasonably comfortable. Only 7 minutes in the Metro from New Street railway station, which is definitely to be preferred to walking from the station through a quiet desolate industrial area, especially during darkness. Fairly central.

First time staying in a hostel in the beautiful city of Birmingham. The hostel's not far from the city centre making it easy to get to. Thanks to the amazing pub crawl host Miguel, I had such an amazing night and met an amazing group people too who were all so friendly and open to have fun. The showers could be cleaner.

I have stayed several times here and always find it enjoyable. Arrived this time to see that there has been a construction overhaul with a much larger open reception area and the basement has been adapted into a sizeable self catering kitchen and breakfast area (previously there was a long walk to the top of the building for breakfast). Comfy beds, lockers, and spacious on on-suite all make the stay more very welcome. Its a 5 to 10 minute walk to New Street Station and the main shopping area.

Everything was fine even though i stayed for one night i think it was clean and in a good location hostel. I found annoying though the fact that the room had plugs only in one part of the room and it was not very helpful if you running out of battery and need your phone close by for using it as alarm the next day. Apart from that everything was fine.

I like that each bed has its own curtain, power plugs and light. The lockers are reasonably small but big enough to put a small backpack in. There is not a lot of space in the 4 bed dorms if everyone has big bulky bags. The beds are comfortable and everything was clean.

This could be a great hostel but they just don't clean it. The bathrooms really are disgusting. I certainly wouldn't stay here again and I recommend that you look elsewhere first.
