I was pleasantly surprised by the room.It was spacious,clean and very comfortable,couldn't ask for more!Breakfast was great!There was a movie room,internet room and storage room.Staff were very friendly and helpful.Good value for money.Highly recommend it.

Location was great, not in the centrum, just about 10 min walk. Great staff, great common room! Rooms and toilets were really clean and the kitchen easy and accessable to use. Becouse of Hatters atmosphere, I wanna come to Birmingham again!

really nice hostel and nice staff, the location was about 10 to 15 minutes from the city centre by foot. in an overall impression the hostel was clean, just the window boards need really to be cleaned (at least in our room). really great was the free 24/7 tea, coffee and toast :-) the breakfast was ok..

Perfect Hostel, I had been at Hatters several times always perfect . As well breakfast and projector for DVD movies so it was fun there...

Great hostel. The staff is really nice and helpfull and the location is excellent, very close to the city centre. I strongly recomend this place.

best staff ever including the check-in girl and the check-out romanian boy. convenient location, 12 minutes to railway station. very nice breakfast with purchased yogort. room is big with huge toilet inside, just beds are a bit old.

The beds were very comfortable- could have done with a larger duvet for the double one. The staff were brilliant, really helpful & chatty, & the atmosphere was great. Breakfast was good value for money, plenty of toast, cereal & yoghurt, but if you like decent tea, I suggest you take your own tea bags! Overall, good value for money, & we will definitely stay here again.

We hebben een geweldig weekend gehad. Het hostel was luxer dan we dachten, de staff was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, alles was schoon en er hing een relaxte sfeer. Het hostel is ons zo goed bevallen dat we het aangeprezen hebben bij onze vrienden en collega's. We hebben het er al over later dit jaar nogmaals op bezoek te komen. Our comment is in Dutchs.

I had a great stay. It was the weekend AFTER New Years so the town was dead but the hostel was perfect. The guy behind the front desk was super helpful and went above and beyond. I'd definitely stay there again.

Really great - will definitely use again and have passed onto friends. The hostel had a really nice balance between efficient and chilled, informal and friendly - we are planning trips to Manchester and Liverpool and will check out the Hatters accommodation there! If you are thinking of expanding - how about a Hatters in Cardiff?! PS: we REALLY appreciated the night receptionist letting us have breakfast cereals at 5am so we could leave at 5.30am to get our train home!

Warm welcome, perfect cleanliness of the room, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and organisation of the hostel, we did enjoy our stay there and only wish it were longer.

This hostel just does everything right, simple as that. Good location, fast internet, free breakfast and toast/tea/coffee all day which is handy if you wake up late (as I often did), a projection screen TV, spacious rooms, good showers, and if I wasn't distracted by the 500 movies on offer I probably would've played Nintendo. A hard drive full of movies is a great idea! Every hostel needs that. After all the average London hostels I've visited this beats them all.

Very cool hostel! Lovely staff and great vibe! Free breaky and internet and a nice common area for everyone down stairs,the rooms were very clean and spatious. Do yourself a favour and stay here, at Hatters, if you come to Birmingham
