Very nice and clean hostel with excellent staff. They kept my mail for me and were very helpful whenever I needed something. Location was ok, the distances looked bigger on the map than in reality. Still we got lost the first day.

Excellent service and a great laugh.

We try to provide tired travelers with some comic relief. In the wise words of Charlie Chaplin " a day with out laughter, is a day wasted "

An ensuite with 2 showers and one toilet all in one room wasn't that great for 12 people! The cinema lounge and retro zone were brilliant though.

This hostel was pretty cool and in the Jewelry district. The Irish guy at the front is super helpful! Clean enough and a good atmosphere.

Owner Comment (Show)
The jewelry district is indeed where its at with the best in contemporary bars and music venues on our very doorstep. Adios amigo =D

Really enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly. Fun pub crawl on Saturday. The only suggestion I would make is lockers in the room. Otherwise, everything was great!

Its always reassuring to know you belongings are safe; thats why we offer a secure cctv monitored luggage storage room, and for those ultra personal belongings; well lets just say Oceans 13 was our inspiration with our reception safety deposit facility. voyages heureux!!

Hatters is famed for its friendly dynamic atmosphere for people to meet and socialize..heading north?? check out Hatters Manchester & Liverpool. We're a family!

Cheap and cheerful. Facilities are basic but adequate, and quite good considering the price. The location's not very good - it's a bit far out on the edge, about a 30-40 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station. I'd say it's exactly what you'd expect from a very cheap backpackers' hostel.

We like to think that the hostel is situated exactly as it should, as the way here gives you a nice view on the city centre, you also get a glimpse of the beautiful Jewellery Quarter and half an hour of walking a day is also what the doctor ordered, keeps us healthy and puts us in the mood for partying Hatters style :D All the best mate

I particularly enjoyed being part of the 40 strong party that went on the pub crawl lead by Tom who was an excellent shepherd even when he hurt his foot and found walking difficult his thoughts were for the group.

Tom always puts other people's safety over his, but this does not affect his partying and pub selection skills, hope to see you soon Ian for another smashing pub crawl!
