nice, helpful staff. lots of common space and cool things to do. would highly recommend daily/nightly activities to help travelers meet people and make friends. maybe have a cheap dinner where everyone comes together. not far from most of Liverpool's main sights and nightlife.

The Hatters was impressively big and I found I had so much room to put my stuff which isn't usually the case. Excellent facilities, comfy bed, big kitchen and dining areas, good breakfast, and free wifi which was a bonus. Only thing is the hostel is almost TOO big and at times it's hard to meet people because it's hard to find them! Overall I would definitely recommend this hostel and would definitely stay there again if I was ever in Liverpool again.

Although I was asked for my Passport and I was born and bread Five streets away from the hotel, my girlfriend and I found this very funny and would be booking again for future stays either in Liverpool Manchester or Birmingham. I for one will spread the word of how polite, good, clean and caring the staff and hotel is and are. My girlfriend and I hope to be able to stay many more times in the future months.

My only complain is that they don't have lockers in the rooms, but everything else was great! The staffs are really helpfull, the location is great, 10 minutes away from the train station and the centre!

I was expecting a higher standard because it cost us £70 a night. The facilities were basic, the room smelt of smoke and the decor was very tired. The location was great though and it was good to have a TV. If it had been cheaper I would have been really pleased but I couldn't help feeling ripped off!

I booked an ensuite room but there is no hot water from the shower tap. I seek help from the front desk and the staff is very helpful. He came to my room for a check but still cannot figure out the reason, I was advised to change to another room. The new room was the same with no hot water. The staff apologized and suggested me to use the shared bathroom and refund part of the rent. I really appreciate the staff helpful attitude and take the initiative to refund part of the rent fee.

only stayed one night here plus it was a monday so I'm guessing that was the reason it was pretty quiet. however the fella at the desk was a legend think his name was matt or mark. gave a great welcome, took out a map to show me the best places to go in liverpool and even invited me to a gig all in the first few minutes of getting to the hostel. got the feeling it would be a good place to stay for a few nights. also the location is second to none!

Really enjoyed this hostel experience, decent sized rooms, cage under bed style lockers (not big enough for whole pack but sufficient for valuables), decent breakfast, nice common areas, friendly staff, good location. The directions from the coach station were a little confusing - look up on a map before you arrive! Also, the free wi-fi was broken. Conveniently they already have a 'paid' wi-fi option in place so I can't help but wonder how often the 'free' wi-fi actually works.

Great hostel but was woken by slamming doors every morning. Thicker walls or quieter doors definitely needed.
