Not the best hostel I've stayed at. The rooms were very cramped and the beds were very loud. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest either. I loved the bar that was attached to the hostel but it wasn't the best atmosphere to meet people. However, the location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful!

Showers in room 19 were a bit average and the pillow was beyond it's used by date, very flat. Other than that, really good stay. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good, size of the room was great.

You won't get any sleep. If your booking this for work find somewhere else. For fun then it's a nice place

i found the rating on hostel world as the #1 in Liverpool is not at all justified. Here is why: - no lockers in the bedroom - staff is not terribly friendly - noisy beds when moving at night - there is just one common light in the dorm, so if you wanna take a shower in the morning you ll inevitably have to turn on the light and you ll wake up everybody - doors to dorm opens only with pushing super hard - breakfast does not have eggs or bacon - mainly old people in hostel

For a first timer I enjoyed the experience, room was a little cramped but then it's a hostel, at about€16 per night it is amazing value and I would definitely recommend it, getting a breakfast was a bonus, Regards Ben from Dublin aged 48

This Hatters was undoubtedly larger and had more facilities than the Manchester one. No charge for towels, and free breakfast with a more wide selection than most places I stayed was awesome. I also enjoyed the company of the hostel cat who was friendly to everyone. That said, other than the receptionists the rest of the staff there really did not seem like they wanted to be there (the breakfast staff were really smug). Kitchen definitely needed maintaining more than once an evening.

Excellent location, staff very friendly, breakfast was nice.... But the room and bathroom were very dirty, despite this I recommend this hostel.

Very good value for money! We stayed in a private double room with our own ensuite for half the price, if not more to surrounding Hotels! So for that you can't complain. All the facilities were there, free Breakfast in the morning was great too, with the Hotel easy to find, very central, Tesco also close by. Staff were very friendly, we arrived super early so were not able to check in, but were able to leave our bags and get on with our day! Would definitely use Hatter Hotels again.

Gret place to stay, brilliant free breakfast included in the price. Very qwerky and cool place to hang on, although the downstairs is a bit cold & when it's empty it's not very cosy or comfortable but does have big bean bags to sleep on. Staff were helpful & friendly. The location is ideal it's only a 5 minute walk to most attractions and city centre, but away enough that it's not loud. highly reccomend this hostel!

Man wish we could have stayed longer. Only were in Liverpool for one night but we met some cool people and a friendly cat that made us wish we didnt have to leave so soon. Our bus out was at 6 am and reception opened the breakfast early for us so we could grab something for the road. Seemed clean, free shampoo in the showers, good breakfast, good atmosphere. Would come back to Liverpool just to stay here again.

The 4 bed dorm was all-right, although the 2 bunk beds were a little too close to each other for comfort. The location is just a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street Station, and there were a few pubs around the area which were filled with people during the night. Breakfast provided was good, which included bread, cereal and ham and cheese. This was a huge convenience for us.
