Breakfast was excellent. Maybe the best I´ve ever taken in hostels. There was no wifi on the rooms.

Great hostel, with an awesome bathroom and (by far) THE BEST HOSTEL BREAKFAST I have ever encounter. Good thing the had an elevator, cause I was on the 4th floor. The staff allowed my tired-stinky self to do an early check in so I could take a shower and a nap (for wich I was very thankful) Great bathrooms and beds, near the center and the Cavern.

The Location is excellent, very close to two stations and 10/15 min walking to The Albert Dock. The hostel is not that bad, but my experience was a disaster...they made a mistake with my booking and someone woke me up at 3am saying to collect all my stuff and move to another room...well, at least I got a refund. Breakfast is very good, you can eat as much as you can. Not very clean and lots of youngsters (early 20s). Dumno if I would come back...

I found the hostel convinient location-wise, it offered a decent continental brekfast. I had a bed in a female dormitary-the room was very small with thin walls and no much space between the bunk beds. However, having en-suite bathroom was a plus, and especially having free soap and shower gel was helpful. The kitchen facilities were good-you can cook, there was free tea and coffee, but not enough crockery. The wi-fi was available only in the basement and not always working well on my tablet.

It would have been nice to have lockers in the rooms for valuables, and I didn't like that the free wifi was only available in the basement. Overall it was a great hostel though, and they cleaned everyday which made it much more comfortable.

This hostel has a great location! The rooms don't have any lockers to keep your stuff locked which I didn't like. The beds were extremely squeaky as well. There was a funky smell but there was a good breakfast for free and a nice big litchen. Would recommend

Didn't organise something on Friday even Saturday night a bit strange. Staff are not very helpful except one of them. Anyway it was a good stay.

The room is okay, with not-so-clean shower rooms. The dining room for breakfast is big and spacious. The kitchen also big enough.

The hostel is placed in a great building - used to be a kind of school. Downside of it is that it's hard to meet new people in de common room because it's huge. I had a 4 bed dorm ensuite, de bathroom was very clean and the beds were good. free breakfast was enough for a start of the day: taost, cereal, coffe and tea, yogurt. Wifi only in the basement.

Great hostel at a fantastic value. Good location - within walking distance of all the attractions with all the necessary amenities - nice-sized kitchen with free tea and coffee and all the required cooking materials, a 24-hour computer space, and lots of common areas. The common area cat is also a huge perk. And the free breakfast is one of the best I've had - cereals, muffins, croissants, and Nutella, and a great coffee machine. Definitely recommend Hatter's and hope to return some day.

It's a teenager's hostel and we didn't enjoy it as well. The room was very small.

There is no soundproofing between the rooms/corridors so it is extremely noisy.you can hear people entering/ exiting their rooms even when they are not being intentionally loud. I could hear the people in the next room on either side talking

It's really a shame that the building was not heated before 7pm, especially with the snow and the cold of these days... we've been litterally freezing ourself waiting for the fatidic hour. Also the breakfast is really poor adding boiled eggs would not hurt and the coffee is just awful. BUT it's really good value for money and staff is adorable.

Felt more like a jail cell than a hostel, but if you're looking for a place to party and crash for a night this will do.

The configuration of my 8 bed dormitory was confusing as it was split into two sections by a door. I did not feel comfortable walking into the other side of the room at night to get to the bathroom. The bathroom had a lot of black mould developing on the ceiling and walls. A green led on an emergency light on the ceiling disturbed me on the top bunk and could have kept me awake if I was not so tired. The room was excessively hot until I turned down the radiator thermostat.
