Superb value for money.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location was great for a short visit when I needed to be near bus/train stations and the city center. Would have liked to lock my possessions in the room but with only a few people in the room it felt safe enough. Internet in rooms or upstairs areas would have made the experience even better as I used internet to plan a lot of my trip and communicate with others.

Very helpful staff, excellent accommodation and it's a VEERY big hostel. Recommend it so much. Kind regards from Brazil!

Pros: Good location, nice kitchen areas, nice free breakfast, friendly staff, reasonably priced, good storage in bedrooms Cons: showers and toilets were really unclean, and the rooms in the basement were freezing cold, shower had been left on for days and the whole toilet/shower area was soaking wet which made everything damp and cold

I like the private bathroom attached to the female dorm and its very clean.

Noise in the night (3 am) when people came home from the bars.

The paint on our ceiling (room 511) was peeling off and every morning we woke up to it being on the floor. And what we assume was the fire alarm went off at 4.am but only beeped twice, which left us confused as to if that was what the fire alarm was. I also understand that people know that there may be other people in their rooms, but it would be nice to be warned at check in that they have already checked into your room so you can be prepared.

My friend and I were worried about staying in a city we'd never been to before, but the staff at Hatter's were friendly and supportive and addressed all of our problems with ease. We felt really safe and secure in the hostel and will definately use Hatter's again.

The staff were so lovely and helpful, only downside is they didnt have their security up to scratch - there were locks on the room doors, but not on the reception door, which means anyone could walk into the common room/accomodation area.

bedroom smelt really bad, they did nothing about it. the kitchen quite dirty and dining room depressing atmosphere

Nice bed and shower, but one day they turned off all the heaters during the day and it was freezing...

there was no hot water for showers. 12 bedroom was freezing and members of our group had to be moved to different rooms

Liverpool Hatters was a best experience I have ever had. Clean, tidy, perfect location. Its like a 2 star hotel. Thanks.

Really nice hostel, close to the train station and to the city center. Only negative thing was the lack of lockers in the rooms. There were hangers and shelves, but no lockers! They only have them downstairs, so if you want to have your stuff really safe you gotta carry them up and down... Despite that, great place to stay. Very good value for money!

Great hostel with friendly staff, only issue is wifi is only available in the basement (with no comfortable chairs/lounges) and would frequently drop out!

As most of UK hostels it is very big, which makes atmosphere kind of strict, but it was very comfort to stay the night, take a breakfast and leave the hostel. Internet facilities are poor also (just on the basement with a weak signal).

Perfect stay. Great location.
