Everything was perfect. Nice people, nice facilities, nice way to run Hostel. But i think the should clean the toilets at least twice a day, and not just once. Too many people for two showers (on my floor)

I stayed 3 nights and this was one of the best I've stayed so far. My roomhad a bathroom and they have a lot of 6/8-bed rooms too at low prices, which is great because sometimes its nice to sleep just a bit :P They have lockers were you can put your valuables and the location is great because its ata 5-minute walk from Lime St. However, the staff is not rude but not friendly at all. During my stay is was quite dead, nobody in the common rooms... I would re commend this hostel though.

Great location, helpful staff and clean. The only problem was the lift didnt seem to work very well.

Owner Comment (Show)
Yes, the location is a favourite with all of our guests... The lift is a very popular attraction at the hostel, almost as popular as the local Beatles tours! On your next visit, feel free to ask the staff for assistance with baggage, etc and we will make sure you won't need to bother with a lift! :)

The internet is not free even if you have your own laptop,., that was a little disappointing, but the McDonald's nearby does. There is also an indoor/outdoor cat that sleeps in the hallway, sweetest cat! Made my stay. Very clean floors were full on mopped in the morning and breakfast is included :)

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The only inconvenient is the internet access.( 2 quid for 1 hour). I will definitely recommend this hostel to my friends.

It was said on the homepage that this hostel had free pancake on Wednesday evening but the staff forgot about that. Therefore no free pancake on Wed. evening ... Besides, check carefully the rate of the hostel. I booked with a higher price per night than the adjusted rate when I arrived. But I still need to pay the higher price ...

Perfect place for staying in Liverpool. Quality of a hotel for a price of a hostel! Would be great to have some cheese or meat for the breakfast tho ;)

the hostel was one of the big and impersonal types. it was also completely dead this time of year, which is not their fault, but it lacked atmosphere. other than that it was in a good location, had a decent kitchen and the rooms were spacious. also ensuite bathroom (in 12 bed room) with 2 showers was a bonus, however some parts of the bedroom floor were damp and smelly like something was socking through from under! and paying for wifi was a joke!

I think the price paid (37 pounds per person) was too high for the quality of the room. The bathroom was modern, although the shower door didn't close properly, neither did the blinds - some were missing. The bedroom was very spare, no chair or couch, curtains were old and droopy and hard to open and close. As a hostel, it was very fine, but the price was too high for the standard. The staff were very friendly though :-)

Nice hostel just a bit boring and staff didn't provide maps etc except for a inadequate printed one. The first step of a hostel is a good map for visiting guests

It was a good hostel though I had a lousy sleep and had to forfeit the key deposit as no-one was on reception. The emergency light in the double room was ridiculously bright for an emergency light & kept us both awake. We and another guest were trying in vain to call someone to reception but the buzzes went ignored. After waiting over 10 minutes we had to leave to catch a bus. The shower needs seeing to, you can't turn it on without getting water everywhere!!

A more revised review this time. A few weeks back I had a flying visit in late and out early, so was hard to gauge the place. Stayed a proper night this time and can report the place is pretty cool. Breakfast is great, as is the self catering kitchen. Place is kept clean and there are some HUGE common rooms...stupid ,massive amounts of space. Only real drawback was the wifi not only wasnt free... it was 5 quid a day. Bugger off Global Gossip, they are useless. I used my phone data :P

Very big and good hostel: quiet, great breakfast, clean, good bathrooms inside the rooms and well located near Lime Street Station!
