We got a room in the basement that was cold and dark and the showers and wc had defect locks. We were a group of underaged, and there were drunk people screaming and partying everywere, so we had no common room to use. The location was exellent, but the breakfast was very poor and unhealthy. There should have been some fruit or flatbread or cheese and ham, not only white toast and jam and cakes. I wold not recommend this place and I would look for somehwere else to stay next time.

10 minutes away from the railway station, staff are nice, but the room is quite old, wall is thin and you can hear people talking in your room.

Very good location, within walking distance to all city sightseeings. 15 minutes on foot to Albert's Dock. Very close ( 4 min ) to bus stop of megabus. Good breakfast included in the price is prons. Staff was very friendly. Great common area ( breakfast room ) Cons: lack of Wifi in the dorms and rooms. Only in the kichen area.

stayed in a room with loads of beds, most of which were occupied by a large group who were up late drinking every night. Sort of place that does not seem clean, even when it is. Not a good vibe, no atmosphere, did not enjoy being in the common areas, wifi is not compatible with phones according to reception and computer use cost more than it is worth. Did not respond to my email after I left something plugged into the wall. Breakfast was pretty good!

Wifi was a bit dodgy most of the time... Really liked the cat that sat on your lap in the dining room.

Good location, quite and a nice breakfast. The hostel badly needs a makeover though... Mould on the bedroom walls and peeling paint isn't very nice to see..

I got pickpocketed in London the day I was supposed to travel to Liverpool. I called the desk and the guy was very understanding and allowed me to cancel without penalty. I arrived a couple days later, and it's a nice enough hostel; the staff is accommodating and the facilities are what one can expect from a hostel. However, the guests included a group of university students that were obnoxious, but that doesn't reflect on the hostel itself in any way. Recommend for the friendly staff.

This hostel is in dire need of refreshing. The carpet in my room was very stained and quite scary to be frank. The bathroom in the room although relatively clean, you'd be scared to touch the shower curtain as it was smelly. There was also a lack of hooks to hang your clothes on. The kitchen in and dining area is in the basement and had a very pungent smell. Really didn't think this was healthy but had to suck it up sometimes as this was the only area that you'd get wifi signal.

Fantastic hostel! The staff were friendly and helpful - we were upgraded to a 4-bed private room upon arrival for only £3 extra per person. Loved the Fab Four Cab Tour that took us to all significant sites related to the Beatles (their homes, Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, etc). The lounge areas are nice, and really enjoyed free breakfast! Also, loved the cat who lives in the basement! Best character of all the hostels I've stayed in so far. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Hostal conveniently located 5-10 minutes from the train station Breakfast good, not the best I've had but overall is good. It's a very big hostel, I think that might have 100 people in the entire building. and maybe that's a bit congested areas. But rest all ok. Would surely this hostel.
