Staff made me feel very welcome. Wish I'd asked the girl's name who greeted me, she was lovely and her service was brilliant. I'd come back just to see her again! All in all a really good hostel, great value and I would go as far as to say it is probably the best located hostel in Manchester! Cannot go wrong with this place if you're looking for somewhere to lay your head for the night.

En-suite bathrooms were cleaner than shared facilities I had experienced on a previous visit. Well-heated even though it was below freezing outside. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great hostel, clean, with 24h of tea and toast, which is really nice. Location was great, just a kick from Piccadilly. I was with a friend in a private room and it had the standart of a hotel for 40 quid a night, which is fantastic! We missed out the brackfast though, but tea and toast save us the day again. :) Highly recomendable.

Very clean and comfortable hostel in a brilliant location. The beds are modern and the rooms have a refreshing feeling of newness to them. The living room is particularly nice and comes complete with a great variety of games. The hostel clearly takes security concerns seriously and has a good set of rules in the kitchen as well as a clear recycling system.

Apart from a very loud snorer the room was very nice and offers good value for money, for those on a tight budget! Close too the station and the local pubs and shops.

Well, I was in a private room. The bathroom is very good, clean and with a hot shower. The room did not have any kind of safe, only almost falling a closet, but as a private room was not worried about security, even by the hostel has security after at 11 pm. The front desk staff was very helpful, explained how to to go to places where I wanted, and are attentive. The only bad thing I found was the internet. Only using the main hall, and every time faulty signal.

This way by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at! The breakfast was alright... I ended up getting Starbucks every morning. I was the only person in a room that was supposed to hold six the whole time I was there, so it was pretty sweet. The staff are so nice and friendly! There isn't wifi, but you can literally walk five minutes to Starbucks and get wifi lol. It isn't worth it buying it there! Just saying!

the whole of the building is in excellent condition. so many details prove you all care and use your fantasy to make it special and unique. one and only note is if you could use some money to repaint some of the rooms and get rid of the moldiness (eg. room 208). and maybe if you had lots of extra money you could start changing the matresses, not all, just those which are out of shape.. other than that its beautiful!! in total we are very impressed, have been there twice and will come back soon!!

It was pretty quiet when we went which meant there wasn't really much fun to be had. Room was great (6 bed mix), really big and ensuite was better than some hotels. No lockers was a bit annoying though. Breakfast was basic. Staff were really nice.

Very nice place. Remarkably clean, lots of facilities and charming staff. Only drawback, a little bit noisy during the night because of the in-outcoming people in the corridors

Everything brilliant, except for the fact that the staff came in our room at 5am with some guy, woke us up, and started asking us which bed was which because apparently we were in the wrong beds. At 5am!! Was pretty annoyed about that as I was tired the next day but apart from that everything was brilliant at this hostel and the location was superb (right in the middle of the Piccadilly station/shopping/nightlife area).

I have visited 6 hostels in the uk and I found it to be the cleanest hostel. I had booked a mixed dorm with attached bathroom. Apart from neighbour snoring felt by my friend I was comfortable with the facilities provided. It is situated very close to the tourist spots. The area seems mysterious/ dodgy at night but had no problems. Most of Manchester was less crowded during night compared to Albatross New Castle that is situated very close to clubs.
