I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Chambers as the hostel is very well located and very confortable. We could leave our bags in the luggage room after checking out, which was very convenient. Be aware of the public bathrooms (not-mixed, of course) though; the showers have transparent glass screens.

Wifi works badly. If you want good wifi, you have to pay. Lockers are in the hall, not in the rooms. There are some computers, but customers have to pay to use them. Kitchen is small so at the weekends there are no place to sit for all customers.

Staff were really friendly and more than willing to help us find certain locations on the map, as we're rubbish at navigating. They offer decent discount on nearby bars and eateries. We had a mixed 12 bed dorm and the room mates were all great. Ended up getting some drinks with them the next morning and chilling out around town for a while. We'll be back next time in Manchester for sure!

The Staff was very helpful , the location is perfect and it is probably the cleanest hostel we've never been

we had a great time, there were only some things we missed ... lockers in the room for the trolly/backpack, there were only small ones at the recepiton area, the pots and pans were very less and old, so s vor cooking it was quite difficult the breakfast was good we had tea/coffee, toast, jam, etc.

On Hostelworld, the bigest dorm available is 12 persons, which I booked, but I found myself in a 24 persons dorm. It is separated in small rooms of 4, so it is fine. Because the room is massive, small overhead lights are on all night, which can be annoying if you are sleeping in the top bed, as the curtain doesn't reach the ceiling. Individual power socket for each bed, and a small locker (mine did not even close). The kitchen is disgusting at night, but they clean it in the morning.

It was quite noisy on Saturday night because of bars and clubs around. However it was the cheapest place to stay in vicinity.

The accomodation was very small, the beds were very close. No plugs near the bed. To take a shower you need to have 1.50 m height because the water pipe is very low.

Great hostel location and bathroom was clean and tidy

Cookware and sllverware provided. Lots of people cook. A very diverse group of travellers of all nationalities and ages staying here. The rooms are very space efficient (aka cramped). However, located in the hip Northern Quarter and very close to the center of the city. Great price, great location.

I understand the prices were inflated because it was Easter weekend, but that meant what you got in return wasn't really Worth the money you spent. Hostel was clean, security was good and the included breakfast was quite satisfactory. I think a wifi working only in the common areas and not in the rooms is not the way to go in 2015. Having a small light and power plug for each bed would not be a bad idea. Still, a bit too expensive but overall a nice place.

Excellent hostel. Very clean and secured. Only disappointment was that some staff members were not friendly at all

If you want to party and only need a place to crash when your drunk, this will work. If you want a place with a friendly staff that's willing to help you, a place quiet long enough so you're able to sleep for at least 4 hours, a place that's safe for your luggage when you're out and about, and clean enough to where they would at least replace the hand soap in the restroom that's been empty for 3 days...if you want any or all this, then this is NOT your place. Wouldn't recommend it.

The stay at Hatters was great, place is right in the centre off the northern quaters, perfect! The only thing they should change is the doors at the rooms, they make a lot of noice when people close them or let the doors slip between the fingers. It should be an easy fix, with some soft tissue on the doorframes. That would improve the sleeping at night and not waking up to early because other people are banging with the doors.

The toilet in the room overflowed and flooded the bathroom. I informed staff who had an imidiate sigh and put her head in her hands. Her attitude was not the best to be fair but all in all it was good for the budget price

Nice location. Only one washroom per room, which is not enough for 12 people. And there is no hair dryer in the room. Big kitchen.

Only thing I will say is the staff should be more friendly. Apart from that everything was average

Wifi was horrible, I couldn't get it in my room during my entire stay. There are also no lockers in the dorm rooms although that wasn't really a problem for me. The hostel is also a bit hard to find if you're new to Manchester.

Would recommend to stay here, pretty good as hostels go. The only thing is that it might be slightly cleaner (floors, general toilets, ensuite bathroom was fine) and the price for a stay on Saturday was quite steep. Neighborhood has lots of comic/game stores, always a plus. Also great (hipster-ish) coffee

Location is good in terms of being close to the city centre. But the hostel is also located in the party centre of Manchester. Expect a lot of noise to the wee hours in the morning. The room walls/window do not keep out the noise. And expect a lot of drunk/rowdy/loud people in the hostel. Not good if you want peace and quiet, and quality sleep.
