Hatters on Newton St is located near Manchester Cathedral and the enormous Trafford shopping centre and is surrounded by pubs and some of the city's best music venues. Many Hostelworld guests say they'd stay here again, citing the friendly, flexible staff, the comfy beds and popular events such as movie nights with free pizza and popcorn. They also have a games room with pool, an Xbox and more. We like that tea, coffee and toast is available 24hrs a day.

Our great city centre location is ideal for the individual backpackers, students and groups. This area is the city's bohemian creative centre and is full of the eclectic record stores, funky clothes bazaars and terrific live music venues with music seven days a week – they’re cheap and very live.
The city is also blessed with over 50 museums and art galleries, all with free admission. Most are within walking distance!

Very nice hostel with very friendly staff! The bar crawl was cool and met a lot of people from all over the world! The hostel was only 2 minutes walk to the center (picadilly gardens) where you can take the tram to Manchester United stadium (10 to 15 minutes). Only thing was that there wasn't a facility to change and hang up your clothes the bathroom after showering.

Cancellation Policy
This property has a 1 day cancellation policy.Failure to cancel within this time will result in a cancellation charge equal to the first night of your stay.
Things to Note
All bookings will be subject to preauthorisation of credit card details. For any details not authorised, the booking will automatically be cancelled.
Please note that we cannot guarantee any reservation without your confirmation of credit card details used to make the booking.
Please note that 4/6-bed dorms and 8/10-bed dorms are of equal value and are interchangeable.
Photo ID and a valid debit/credit card are required upon check-in.
We have a 24hr cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made by 12pm (noon) on the day before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night’s accommodation. If your booking is for two nights and you cancel late, the full two nights shall be charged.
Group bookings (7 – 14 people): Group bookings must pay the full balance one week before the scheduled arrival date. If the booking is not paid by this time, we will charge the card used for the booking. We also need all names of the members of your group by this time. There is a one-week cancellation policy for groups; late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the full amount of their booking. You may also be required to put a deposit down on arrival in cash for groups of 6+, subject to our discretion.
We do not accept bookings for more than 15 people online.
